$4700 in ads supposedly throws an election and yet the shut down of the largest group of Trump supporters on the internet because of the actions of a few unknowns is fine?

How do we know who these people are? Would it make sense for those who support Media Matters to troll a subgroup to post **** they know is against the rules and then have the same group notify Reddit and have their spokesman Maza tweet about it?

Is that what happened? Who knows as they shut it all down instead of banning those who broke the rules.

I'm sure there were no leftists on that website pretending to be violent conservatives. When the left acts up they call it a false flag, they say the video was doctored, the picture was Photoshopped, it's never their fault. We saw Clinton's supporters pretending to be violent Sanders supporters in order to make him and his people look bad. This is what the left does.

The hateful leftist people on that website will just have to fess up and move on to their favorite Antifa or BLM website where they'll be among their own kind.

    My solution:

Let them take their hateful (and threatening) Pro-Trump BS to 4Chan or 8Chan.

Even at places like that, they can still make their ludicrous memes and get their BS spread around by the RW Fever Swamp.

Nobody is "censoring them from the ENTIRE internet".

So if i posted something and you got banned over it you would have no issue with that?

They didn't shut r/TheDonald down, they quarantined it. Meaning that people can still visit it so long as they agree to enter it before actually entering it and r/thedonald will not show up on the front of reddit.com as being a popular place to visit.

Again, Reddit is a forum, much like this one. Just more popular. If they wish to be biased in the selection of enforcement of their rules then I have no problem with it. I don't have to visit it...in fact I don't do reddit anyways as I've always viewed it much like 4chan and the like...filled with wacked out people that like to make up stories.

Because what we need is more segregation?

How is continuing to deepen the divisions between us a good idea?

Are topics on the first page post on here more then any other page? Do posters post in there own threads to push the topic higher on the front page? ( heck there is even a term for it).
If people came to this forum and certain topics had a pop up screen and then you had to find the topic on page five or six you dont think that would impact that topics conversation?

Hey, I get what people are saying. And I agree with them. But to me there is a difference between platforms like Reddit and platforms like Google, YouTube et al. Forums, like this one or Reddit were about discussions. Google isn't about discussions, its about providing a platform for all users regardless of opinions. That is how they billed themselves. Same with YouTube. politicalforum.com has never billed itself as anything BUT a discussion board afaik. Same with Reddit. That makes them different and they should be treated differently.

    This was orchestrated.

    • The_Donald is the most pro-police sub on the entire website with thousands of LEO members and near daily pro-police posts that result in thousands and tens of thousands of upvotes.
    • The subs mods say they were never alerted to the suspected offending posts.
    • The subs mods can prove they have taken over 83,000 actions against reported posts in keeping with site rules.
    • Carlos Maza and Media Matters were on top of the comments hours after being posted, the quarantine came a day later.

It really doesn't matter if it was "orchestrated" or not.

Reddit was within their rights, and that group was deservedly quarantined.

Fox News isn't news most of the time. It's right-of-center propaganda.

That applies to all the news media whether cable, print or broadcast

Fox News at least lables its commentary as commentary

That's a load of crap. Post anything that remotely says the "offending anti police posts should be removed" results in the mods deleting the post and banning any one posting even remotely agreeing that action should be taken against anti-police posts.

And I'll set aside the election influence argument that mega publishers like Reddit will have to answer to for a moment to say that in a very general sentiment I do agree with you. However technically this could have occurred at any time. Rule breaking in subs is always happening. I'm active on reddit and I can tell you that I regularly see calls for violence in high traffic subs like r/politics and r/worldnews. Reddit admins, by their rules could shut those sites down as they see it but they don't because they allow local moderation to handle it. T_D was not given the chance to address what was a few number of offending posts. The justification is weak and it has an direct connection to Media Matters and Maza and that's what I'm commenting on.

Sooo... When do the bans for the Antifa and other left wing extremist subs coming? Oh thats right they aren't a fan of applying rules in a uniform manner over there. More Reddit bias as usual, not surprising on a site where literally anyone can make their own mini forum then apply whatever rules they like. I once got banned from a sub becasue i had made a post on another sub that they considered to be full of "problem users", more like: "lets make an echo chamber in every way we can!" it's why i still consider forums like this one superior despite the flaws.

Lol...I bet they'll have as much impact on the results as all the Russian hackers had on 2016, eh?
But the real kicker is that twitter is starting to label all of trump's lying tweets as such.
How will trump's supporters cope if they can't get an hourly dose of their obese orange hope's diarrhea of snowflake whining and lying demagoguery?

There wasn't an incitement to violence.

Thats just the justification being used.

The intent is to silence opposing viewpoints.
