These are the people the left says will improve our economy, lower our crime rate and just make America a better place to live.

With the left's open borders policy along with two presidential candidates literally campaigning in Mexico, how does our government propose to protect us from one of the most violent cultures in the world when all the left is doing is incentivizing these people to come here and then defending and protecting them when they do?

When it came to the misery of Obamacare, the left constantly said 'if it saves just one life.' They don't use that phrase any more, why? It's because Democrats will do anything for a vote, including sacrificing their own country and the people in it if that's what it takes to get it.

If no effort is made to prevent the daily illegal crossings from occurring, then it is indeed an open border. Such is how things work.

 

9 million Americans have moved out of the country (over 1 million to Canada) - who knows what their reasons were. Fleeing violence? Maybe.

Besides - most of the people fleeing Mexico these days are not Mexican.

 

Well, here's the thing: Without a proper means to screen these people, how can anyone know which is which?

Presumably, this is why we have legalized immigration in order to have time to screen each individual in order to do so. Without it you have ILlegal immigrants who skirt the system.

You would also need some kind of way to keep these illegals from getting here - oh, maybe something like a wall would stop them, among other ways.

If a wall would actually work, I'd not be so against it. But with modern equipment, a tunnel can be built in about a week. Boats will be the chosen mode of transport. And legal ports of entry will still be exploited as the number 1 mode of transporting illegals.

Coyotes who have made millions transporting illegals across the border aren't going to look at a wall and say, "Oh, well. That's over. Guess I'll start a taco stand ..."

That's why I qualified it with "among other ways". You don't just stop with ONLY a wall, IMHO. Problem is, there's a lot of people who don't even want to go that far.

 

Desperate people will find a way. And if we start getting dozens of pictures of little kids dying trying to cross a wall, it's going to become the symbol of the US. The idea that the US is "better" than all the communist nations of the world will be lost in negative rhetoric. The image of the US as the "good guy" is worth hundreds of billions of dollars in foreign investments and tourism. That's not something to be discarded lightly.

At this point, their is (essentially) universal agreement that Trump's Wall will never get built (and that is a horrible idea).

 

Nowhere did I say that only women and children are fleeing Mexico. But what accounts for THIS among many stories of people arriving there, and not just from South or Central America as you'd expect? C'mon - thousands upon thousands of people coming from everywhere TO Mexico TO the US? Of COURSE the crime rate would skyrocket.

Look, the Cartels run Mexico. That's pretty much a fact. You have tons of people coming to Mexico - there's pretty much nothing in the way of welfare systems there, nothing like what we have. How are they eating, where are they living? Oh, you better believe the cartels are offering them quick - and dirty - jobs no matter where they're from.
