Did you say that over Obama's check? "Obama's going to pay for my gas and stuff," remember that? Forgot what it was called.

But did you get the check and cash it or were you one of the people who didn't get one?

no, I was paying 33% cent in taxes to live in this country after deductions, I want them to pay the same. I am not talking fed income taxes but my total taxes not counting property taxes. counting that I am paying almost 40% in taxes to live here.

I think everyone should have an equal share of thier income allocated to taxes. Just because they can afford to bribe congressmen should not be an excuse. They benefit more from living under our economic system than I do, and bless them for it. they make 50mill a year it is not like I want them to live on the same 80,000 a year as i did, I want them to live on 34 mill a year so that instead of me having to pay 33% of my income in taxes I only have to pay 32% and I and another 100,000 people get $500 more to spend.

Hell, I want a flat tax of 33% with No SS, a deduction of the fed poverty level, and and a retirement income of 1.5x the fed poverty level at age 66. With 20trill of income that raises almost 8 trill of revenue (with corporate and othe r commerce taxes) enough for basic heathcare for all. Right now we only raise 4.5 trill and have almost a 1 trill deficit.

I think we want someone who can beat Trump

In ANY election the objective is to WIN, not to "make a statement " or support an ideology, If you do not win your statement will be unheard and your ideology refuted

I think the majority of the Dem candidates are too radical to win. The only one who is not is Biden. Additionally, he is a very experienced and proven competent pol who is also reasonably progressive. I think he will beat Trump and we should support him.

Whoever wins the nomination, having Tulsi as the VP candidate might be a huge plus.
A Biden/Tulsi ticket could probably take down Trump.

But I'm not a Democrat, so I won't be able to vote in the primaries. They should really open that up.

Well deal with your local taxes locally, as far as federal income taxes you don't pay near what the highest earners already pay.

OK the highest earners pay an effective tax rate in the upper 20%'s you ready to pay that or do you want to cut them down to the single digit you probably pay.

We have the deficit because of spending which is already through the roof. And a flat rate on what, many if not most small businesses use the pass through tax filing for their business, how do you get to their taxable income? What is the flat rate going to be applied too? And why would you limit my retirement income to 1.5x the poverty level?

I didn't get a check from Obama. I'm in the upper 25% I pay taxes.

So your political motivation is to support whichever party/candidate will support you with the maximum amount of unearned entitlements?

I'm in the bottom tax bracket, which ordinarily would mean I pay no taxes, but I still have to pay the Social Security/Medicare tax.

Well, yes. Life is hard, but a UBI would make it less hard.

You contribute to the systems and get a specific benefit in return, what's your complaint? How about paying that 33% on your income? Or how about 5%?

The main stream media and their cable offspring will drive the herd leftward. The candidates will all begin corralling as many as they can. The ones with the biggest haul will be the contenders. And all the while, the main stream media will continue driving the herd leftward, and so on. A socialist like Hugo Chavez could clean up.

Hi Moi. I don't care about NOT wanting such a candidate, but I'm not a person of color.

You should care when one of the two major parties
is biased against the largest pool of qualified, experienced candidates.

How about an example of unqualified, inexperienced?
    Kamala Harris!

Well, most people are inexperienced during their first term run for President. That's why many Presidents win a second term. They got experience, show it off, and make the other runners look bad.

Then you are already getting other peoples money and MAKE money off the federal income tax system. What is your complaint you don't get enough of other peoples money and you don't make enough off the federal income tax system?

    Experience as in Federal gov't
Or Executive position such as a governor.
Experience with military or foreign affairs.
Not meant to refer to presidential experience.

You seem to think I got away with hoards of money, but I only got $155 back from the Fed last year (2018 ). And, by the time the total was added up (including SS and Medicare) I had to pay the Fed money. No grand refunds here.

They only want someone who can beat Trump. I would push Harris if were them. She probably can't beat Trump but she will do better than whoever is in second place.
