Who would win a civil war left vs right

I hate videos but this one is worth it.
(breif rundown provided, but you should really watch it)



This is the best argument for a peaceful separation of the two polarized political ideologies in the US (a dissolution of the Union).

The right wing would dominate a 'party driven' (floabt) civil war.
the best reasons (explained in video):
-we have nearly all the armed civilians
-we have a lot of the military
-we are strategically spread out
-we are far less dependent on vital and vulnerable infrastructure

Should the left ever achieve political domination where the right is faced with innevitably being ruled by SJW communists forever, the right will revolt, and win (see video or anotated breakdown above).

Trends suggest a leftist domination of US politics is likely only a matter of time. Which means a civil war is likely only a matter of time unless we split the nation and go our seperate political ways.

I, like the guy in the video, support the peaceful option.

Can you logically refute the conclusion in the video?
Can you offer a third (realistic) option besides dissolution or civil war?

 

It's weird how often people on the right talk about wanting to leave the Union.

You know, those that want to, you all could just leave and start your own joint somewhere on some deserted island or something.

Seeming to suggest somehow the Left would become a dictatorship? Utterly asinine. And I would say the say thing if someone on the Left made a similar suggestion.

 

Neither option is nearly large enough. You're both severely underestimating the situation. We're talking about 1/3 to 1/2 of the nation. Only an equitable, honest split will avoid a war.

Almost no one wants to leave the United States. But almost everyone views their political opposition as a threat to their prosperity and way of life. Im not anti American, and Im willing to bet neither are you. However I know from past discussion that neither of us would tolerate living in the others political optimum. Ideally we could defederalize the nation and have more politically diverse states for people to choose from. Barring that we should let eachother go entirely and live in politically distinct regions. The alternative is physical conflict.

Why are you hijacking your own thread. The subject is the video. And the fool in the video is saying the right will start a civil war if they can't get their candidate(s) to the WH. You support such stupid talk? Logical...my rear end.

 

Those people are unreconstructed racists who are still fighting the Civil War in their heads and hope that they get another chance to destroy the US. They are weak, cowardly people who prefer to blame everyone else for their failures. They are more anti-American than foreign terrorists, and a far greater danger to our country.

 

Its called logical progression. The right would start a civil war to avoid the unconstitutional mob rule innevitably instituted by a left wing majority voting block. Not just because "they can't get their candidate(s) to the WH". The policies I mentioned previously are the campaign foundations of all the current democratic presidentil frontrunners. They will lose in 2020. But trends suggest they will eventually win on those platforms. Large sections of the US will not tolerate those policies. If we dont split by then, there will be war.

You don't nearly have the backing you think you do. The vast majority of Americans are MODERATES who are utterly horrified at the very idea of murdering people over political differences. Political Revolution is something that takes a very long time to come about, usually on the order of centuries, not even decades and certainly not a few years.

Our own Civil War was an exception, brought about by the fact that our original Revolution did not abolish slavery and even then it took 90 years to develop

 

I suppose the right wing, but I doubt there is real "winner" in a civil war.

I suppose furthermore in a heavily industrialized country like USA, there could be long term ecological consequences, mostly the radioactive one.

 

I'm pretty sure that if there's a civil war, the president's side wins since they control the nukes.

But yes, just allow any state to legally secede or something, that would avoid the war.

This is one of the stupidest threads I've ever seen. Frankly, YOU are the problem if you think violence is any kind of a solution to political differences. Unless you've actually been in a conflict zone, I don't think you appreciate just how bad war is to both sides or the unfortunate locals caught in the crossfire. Stop demonizing the other side and start talking, you are all Americans first and foremost.
