Similar to how English and Americans speak the same language.

Same is true about California, the Democrats own what happened in California being the first third world state in America.

And they are still in denial

The point you clearly missed is that what you learned in school was mostly dumbed down.

So you aren't going to learn a lot of things.

In 1776 the people in the USA had the ability fix it. You have to wonder if they still have that ability to fix the border and tighten up the laws.

I have had heard dozens of businessmen and tourist from Spain making fun of how Mexicans speak Spanish.

One Spanish engineer while attending an engineering seminar in SoCal said..."There are a lot people who speak Spanish in California..." (referring to Mexicans) "They sure speak poor Spanish."

Based on the article, cannibalism among native Americans wasn't discovered until recently but I doubt it is emphasized in today's classrooms anyway.

No different than how "Southerners" are mocked for their English expression. Language is always evolving.

The authors who wrote the Wikipedia article on "greasers" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greaser_(derogatory) ) really need to do more research like reading the personal journals of American fur trappers during the early 19th Century.

Mexicans didn't start eating pork until the late 1800's but have always raised hogs not for a food source but for lard which was used for cooking, greasing wagon axles and greasing the hair.

Mexicans greased their hair using pig lard. That's where the term "greaser" comes from.

From the 1890's through the 1950's American men also greased their hair.

    Its a little different.

Mexican spanish is a simplified version. The functional illiteracy rate is also quite high.

    Many illegals can't read spanish.

And there are mexicans that speak native dialects and no spanish at all.

It's never a good idea to start off your planning for a hunting trip by shooting yourself in the foot.

The best way to solve the humanitarian crisis at our border is spread the people around the country. They can find the courts in the rest of the country and learn to take care of themselves. It's a big, unnecessary mistake to be detaining people like we are doing at the southern border. Those people managed to make it all the way thru Mexico and take care of themselves. That tells me, they know how to take care of themselves better than a government can. Putting them in custody makes the country responsible for their wellbeing and it isn't necessary. An immigrant/visitor should only be detained briefly and long enough to give them a civil and not criminal charge to appear in court for not being a citizen of the US, unless there is something very suspicious about the person. Let the courts where they relocate sort them out. All communities have plenty of cops to give directions. The information gathered with non-citizens is the first step in a good immigration reform, such as:

    1) Register non-citizens, both entering, leaving and present in the country. Stepping foot on American soil should be enough to issue the person the same rights as US citizens, except to vote. I also believe a work permit should be issued. All this could be done quickly at ports of entry. I like to think about it as the first step along the pathway to US citizenship in immigration reform, the first step invite for citizenship. We should be using our resources to get all non-citizens documented and let people entering the country figure out for themselves how to live. Offering a moratorium for being an illegal immigrant would help the process. We need all non-citizens documented.

    2) Accelerate the citizenship of people waiting in line for citizenship. It shouldn't take 8 years, 4 years or 2 years. Let's say we set the citizen offer in 1) to be 10 years, or the back of the line and clear the people presently in the immigration system as much as possible. We could easily make changes in the immigration laws to dilute the influx from a particular area, while bringing in the talent businesses need. The immigration system should have accelerators built into it to quicken the citizenship process and get qualified people quickly out of the system. The federal government is required to set the criteria for citizenship as a universal standard for the states, so figuring out how to do so in a smart way seems to be the problem. I'd say within 2 years, someone should qualify for citizenship in the good cases and we should be looking at why they don't qualify for citizenship, if they don't. We could set the 2 year period with the date of the 10 year period, what I call the back of the line. A person who fails to achieve citizenship in 2 years or is discovered to be an undocumented non-citizen is sent to the back of the line. Additionally, it allows periodic 2 year reviews with a reset penalty. The person has to prove again what citizenship accelerators apply for their case. The periodic check is definitely an incentive to meet the government qualifications for citizenship. Adjustments in immigration quotas can be used to get diverse results, just by eliminating them in some cases and targeting specific skills. Immigration can be set up in ways to diversify and dilute the influx from a particular area of the world.

Right now, with low unemployment is the best economic time to make immigration changes, along with work programs to bring in the talent businesses need. An influx of unskilled labor depresses wages which haven't raised much in years, so it isn't as bad as many claim. Adding labor will keep wages and inflation down, but areas can adjust their minimum wages. With markets destroyed by tariffs, many farmers will have to change what they are doing and do something different with their land. That can become very unskilled labor intensive. Construction work on infrastructure can also use unskilled labor.

Our policy at the border has failed, we should just admit it and go on to fix it as a humanitarian crisis. The good thing about fixing it is we can make the problem go away. Many of those counties on the Mexico border are some of the poorest counties in the country and not a good place to be. We should be concentrating on getting the people out of there and stop the nonsense of detaining someone who isn't a threat.

Heck, there are Central Americans who came here recently who haven't even learned Spanish in 500 years, let alone English.

Mayor Pete managed to get large amounts of donations to help his campaign, but I don't see him getting far, no matter how much money he has. He won't get thru South Carolina with it's large Black vote, so he's done and I think he is smart enough to know it.

I don't picture Evangelicals supporting Mayor Pete, but there are plenty of others they will support.

Tom Steyer entering the race shouldn't be discounted. Money makes a difference, particularly when it's your own. If he keeps to the impeachment theme, he could mass support.

Europeans also introduced the toilet and toilet paper to Mexicans.

The Mexicans figured out what the flush toilet was for but never figured out what to do with the toilet paper after wiping their butts.

Today this is a common sight with most public restrooms in California.

One has to wonder what a bathroom looks like in a Mexican or Central American undocumented Democrat home.

Yeah I guess mexican toilets can't handle toilet paper. So they do it here.

"Protesters Take Down and Deface US Flag, Raise Mexican Flag"

they should not of been shot, talk about over reactions, but it is wrong and not doing their cause any good, if they were trespassing and vandalizing others property, they should be arrested though

    Not much apparently...

Education leaders in recent years have lauded achievement gains and progress of California’s K-12 students, but an annual national report card has rated the Golden State below mediocre — a solid C-minus, 10th from the bottom among the 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Yeah Buttigeig can't get very far in the campaign. He is welcomed like a hero here in Los Angeles; his financial support is heavily California donors. But Blacks don't like mayor Pete primarily due to the gay issue. It is ironic that Blacks support Democrats overwhelmingly but don't always vote the way the Democratic party wants them to do. When Prop 8 passed in California, the Democratic party was shocked that Black Democrats voted against same-sex marriage, for example.
