Full title: "Arizona Dem Kyrsten Sinema joins GOP in push for program that would quickly deport migrants without valid asylum claims"

    Wow! This is unexpected.

Sinema campaigned as a left-winger and even disparaged her own constituents, but since being in office she has been more of a centrist and voted with the GOP more than a few times.

Now if there were more reasonable Democrats like Sinema, this country would be a better place.

"We are a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable, especially those who may be dangerous. That’s why over the past six years deportations of criminals are up 80 percent, and that’s why we’re going to keep focusing on threats to our security. "

Not surprising from someone in the south west. She sees the issues. She sees that the organizers of these caravans and the "immigration supporters" that are coaching these asylum seekers have purposefully flooded the system in Hope's of pushing it to collapse.

Maybe a enough GOP and dem politicians can actually grow a pair and risk being voted out by doing the right thing instead of the popular thing and actually try to fix the immigration system.

Gee, instead of just enacting knee jerk policies that have caused a humanitarian crisis at the border by locking people including toddlers in filthy cages like Trumps team has done, the Senator has proposed legislation that will actually serve to help solve the problem. Good for her.

You mean the broken asylum laws that invite crossers and the dems want to protect so they get locked up in Obama’s cages.

I'd like to see Jack here explain to his leftie friends that rapid and mass deportation is a good and effective way to solve the problem at the border.

I'd be fun to watch the woke pack turn on him, and tear him to shreds.

Enacting a policy which will litigate assylum claims more rapidly and cease to hold people who have not committed any crime for months in filthy cages is fine with me. However, I would also like to see a policy which gives people who have lived here for years without committing a felony a path to US Citizenship and those who were brought here when they were less than 10 years old and have lived most of their lives here automatic citizenship. Also, after this is worked out, I would like to see laws enacted and enforced that would heavily fine and or jail those who illegally hire undocumented workers. I also support border security measures which are well thought out using advanced technology to stop illegal crossings. Trump has evidently failed to get the Mexican government to pay for his imaginary wall, so again, both sides should work together on a compromise to tighten border security.

Policies such as separating families of assylum seekers enacted by Trump have greatly exacerbated the situation. The policies that the Obama administrated were long standing before he was elected. Sessions, moron that he is thought that by doing this, it would stop people from seeking assylum here.

Please explain to the left that quickly processing and deporting immigrants without valid asylum claims is a good thing.

It'll be funny when they pelt you with rocks and garbage and call you a racist.

I do not live in your imaginary left vs right world. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Also, I am neither a Demikin or a Republicrat. Both are parties filled with sellout whores who dance around to keep the status quo. My concern is that locking people who have legally presented themselves at our border claiming assylum up for months in filthy cages is un American and illegal. Steps must be taken to straighten this out ASAP.

I agree. Go tell the left they need to start deporting lots of illegal immigrants quickly and efficiently.

    Good luck with that.

This works for me as well.... an actual plan, vs governing by Magic 8 ball...

    SNIP
The pilot program would have Border Patrol conduct interviews with migrants within three days of them being encountered between ports of entry, and have them processed and given a medical exam within four days. The "credible fear" interview should occur within nine days.

"This pilot program would apply to families who aren't claiming 'credible fear,' which of course is the first threshold in seeking asylum," Sinema told The Arizona Republic. "If someone says 'I left my country because I can't make a living,' (or) 'it's hard to take care of my family' — that's what we call an economic migrant."
    ENDSNIP

P.S. Trump will not like this plan because it's a possible solution to a problem he has no interest in solving..... quite the opposite in fact...

Oh, that is not how it works.

True that the media so hates Trump they present it like that, but this is not the truth.

Cages were installed by Obama due to the mad rush to our borders. Trump has no money to change it from the Obama cage system to a new system.df

Still by law they are limited to life in cages. But now Trump has more cash so he has more showers there and has made improvements.

These people only send about 10 percent with actual asylum claims. 90 percent are turned down by Judges who hear their cases.

We have more pressing matters for our actual citizens than interlopers from say Guatemala.

    Double the border patrol.
    350 miles of fence.
    High tech surveillance.
    E-verify.

Seems like a better plan than kidnapping children.
