Isn't there a law against threatening members of the US Congress?

These cops will only be fired???? (To be hired in another town because that IS what happens)

They are terrorists and should be behind bars.....but I bet TRUMP IS SO PROUD OF THEM.....he does like results from his policies and speeches.....

    I asked a question, you didn't answer.

Trump was right about only one thing, that no matter what he did, even shoot someone, his supporters would support him....and their constant hysterical defense is really boring..

Trump has not shot anyone, and the cops have not shot AOC. Their offensive words do not IMO amount to a threat as defined by any statute. If you have a specific law in mind I would like to see it.

Has Johnny Depp been indicted? Should Johnny Depp be indicted?

"LONDON — The actor Johnny Depp is the latest American entertainment figure to suggest — however jokingly, ironically or obliquely — the killing of President Trump.
Speaking on Thursday at the Glastonbury arts festival in southwest England, Mr. Depp asked the audience, “Can you bring Trump here?”

The remark was met with booing and jeering, and he continued: “You misunderstand completely. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? I want to clarify: I’m not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it’s been awhile, and maybe it’s time.”
The words were being interpreted as an allusion to the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth, an actor, in 1865."

Can you just picture if a cop would had posted such comments concerning Trump!!!!!!!!

Sorry but this is complete nonsense that for some reason that the suggestion of the gunning down of a congress woman by a police officer is no big deal an should not be punished so by that logic the suggestion of the gunning down of Trump is also no big deal!!!!!!

Prove that Trump's recent not even close to racist attacks enabled these cops.

Prove that these cops wouldn't have said the same thing even if Trump didn't tweet anything at all.

One of two things will happen:

    1. You won't respond.
    2. You'll respond and not address my post in any way at all.

Those Cops deserve to be fired. They should be professional on and off the job.

That said, Trump has to put up with all the alt left death threats on a daily basis. So does every politician, I'm guessing. Famous people, politicians or whomever, likely get that crap all the time.

AOC invites attention given her wayyyyyyy alt left views, and her anti-American remarks. She's bound to get people who are annoyed.

Once again though, police officers shouldn't even joke about that on or off duty. Not appropriate and should not be tolerated.

Thought "police" and "criminal" is irrelevant here because no one was arrested. Instead, employment was terminated on the grounds that the voluntary statements made by those officers calls into question the possibility of bias not just with these officers themselves, but the entire department. Do these posts mean these officers literally believe what they posted? No. It's the internet, everything is ridiculous, sensational, and exaggerated.

But lets face it, internet statements getting you in trouble, at this point, is nothing new. These officers should have known better, and perhaps now they(and others who learn from what happened) will.

You are playing make-believe that those two things are mutually exclusive. Come back to reality. By the way, I hope we can agree that non-violent delusionals < violent delusions. I hope.

Like you, I am unaware of any law against what the cops actually did.
Depp did make a direct threat, but it would have been impossible to prove he really intended to assassinate the president.

i do not concur, it was a credible threat because he exercised his second amendment.

both Ronald Reagan and John F Kennedy were sitting Presidents who were victims of gun violence.

Well, Depp actually did threaten to shoot the president, so you have a point.
But Depp is such a well known Hollywood halfwit twit - I doubt that a trial jury would take him seriously.

    OTOH a grand jury ....

Depp has a bunker in Hollywood, i doubt that he will have to swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help him God.
