Border Patrol Arrests 7 Migrants Who Entered Maine
    Illegally From Canada

United States Border Patrol arrested 7 migrants on Tuesday who allegedly crossed illegally into Maine from Canada.

Maine State Police pulled over a vehicle in Bridgewater, near the Houlton port of entry on Maine’s northern border, that was reportedly seen “crossing the center line on four separate occasions,” according to a Border Patrol affidavit, the County reports.

The vehicle was reportedly transporting eight individuals at the time of apprehension. Border Patrol agents arrived on scene shortly after at approximately 10 p.m. to help with linguistic translation.

Four of the vehicle’s passengers were charged with a misdemeanor for entering the United States illegally, and three others were charged with felonies for illegal re-entry, according to Border Patrol. Illegal re-entry is a class E felony that is punishable by “a fine under title 18, imprisonment for not more than 2 years,” according to the Department of Justice.

All of those arrested were confirmed to be Mexican nationals, according to the County.

And that boys and girls is why I support the Dual Wall Solution.
Looking forward to Trump leaning on :flagcanada: for being a conduit of illegals into :flagus: :salute:

There's a strange irony here in that tens of millions of Mexicans can scheme and plan their way into invading the most powerful country in the world but can't organize enough people to end the corruption that makes their home countries a shithole they need to scheme and plan their way out of.

Yes, Mexico, or any other country where the people risk their lives and need to escape, is a shithole. Yet they do their darn best to invade a country full of white supremacists, racists and a president who is both. Go figure.

I would say it was a sign that they do work. We have no wall on our northern border. The one on our southern border caused these 4 people that were from Mexico to go all the way to Canada in order to cross.

So we need to build a wall along both of our borders and along the sea?

Even then, you realize people can fly in... right? (Like the 60% of new illegal immigrants already do)

The wall is not an absolute answer, but that does not mean that it would be ineffective just because a few people find ways to circumvent it.

    60% isn’t a few people. It’s the majority.

Since you provided no link to support your stats, I would assume that most of the 60% that entered our country by air, did so because they came in legally on a visa and overstayed. That is kind of comparing apples to oranges if true. That is a failure of the visa system and lack of diligence of the issuing authority. Coming across the southern border in droves to the point where it over stresses our capacity and endangers the lives of those truly needing asylum Is a completely different issue.

    Illegal is illegal.

The vast majority of illegal immigration is visa overstays, followed by border crossing at ports of entry, followed by asylum requests that disappear, followed by illegal border crossings. A wall will only ‘hopefully’ prevent the lowest data set if it does anything at all.

You do know that as far as invading is concern we was the invaders that seized half repeat half of the land area of Mexico so we could have more slave states?

Amazing either the posters on this system know zero history of either our nation or our neighboring nations or are hypocrites of the first order.

Does Trump supporters ever read a book in their lives to have some clue of how we had interfere and set up one ruling class after another in our southern neighing nations for our benefits?

Love it that after over two hundreds years of interfering in the internal working of those nations we can not understand why the hell they are so call **** holes.

We invaded half of Mexico? Those Spanish speaking Catholics were completely invaded and taken over long before we had a say in what happened down there.

Do Clinton supporters ever read a book in their lives to have some clue of how the world works? It's much like slavery; liberal outrage ends when it's mentioned that Africans captured and sold other Africans into slavery, but to them all the blame for slavery begins and ends with white people in America. Now we;re being blamed for Mexico being a shithole. What else are white Americans guilty of, the Pyramids?

And after 200 years we call Mexico and other countries shitholes because that's what they are, otherwise why does the much of the populace risk their lives to escape?

The article does not seem consistent with the data links provided within the article. The article states that 700k overstayed their visa and only 300k entered crossing the border. Yet the graph they provided show that there were over 500k crossings in the Rio Grande valley alone. (the article is also from 2017)

There is also this statement in the source that the article used:

There is also little doubt that there is a serious crisis on the border which is causing major overcrowding at processing facilities. Yes, illegal is illegal, but if you are bleeding from multiple cuts, you just do not treat the largest cut and call it good. There is still a major difference between people entering the country LEGALLY and then disappearing vs a number of people entering illegally and only counting those that were caught.

The Mexican border is 1950 miles. The Canadian border is 5500 miles.

Thats a lazy MSM talking point.

The vast majority of visa overstays return home within a few months.

Why? Because they are already in the system and trying to become citizens-and if they stay they jeopardize that.

Seven illegals go the long way around verses thousands bum rushing our southern border is laughable. As with any form of security you reinforce the most vulnerable areas first with the intent of making it as difficult as possible to gain access to wherever or whatever you are protecting.

Which is why policy is much more effective than a wall could ever be.
We simply have to much border to secure which is why a complete physical barrier wall is supported by exactly zero organization as a way to stop illegal immigration.

    National mandatory e-verify
Massive employer penalties based off of gross income
    Biometric entry and exit system
Ending of all financial aid to illegals
Ending of financial aid to all areas that harbor illegals
Drone and satellite surveillance of the border
    Reforming asylum
    Reforming birthright citizenship
    Expedited removal

These will impact 100% of illegals, not just 30% of them

Our country’s borders run through various bodies of water where the wall ends. How does a wall prevent illegal crossings there?
Or the ones that sneak bast border checkpoints?
Or the ones that purposely get caught so they are arrested and then eventually given a court date and released into the country?

You can't get purposely caught if you can't get over the wall. The wall stops that game.

Ever hear of ladders? Ever hear of tunnels? Ever hear of thing called a torch? Most illegal immigrants came here legally. Most drugs come through legal ports of entry.

Oh, feel free to add to your children and grandchildren’s debt. It’s all your generation has accomplished.

No one expects you to do anything correct at this point.
A wall that will just divert flow — if it even does that — aligns perfectly as to how y’all have run the county. Thankfully that reign is about over.

Thankfully it’s just two generations that are backing these insane measures, and they are reaching the end of their natural life cycle. They have done enough damage to the country and the world.
