Millions have lost their health care coverage thanks to Trump. While poor people die, righties applaud Trump's actions.

Shame on all of them - funny thing is that they claim to be Christian.

quoted from gotquestions.org Question: "What does it mean to have a personal relationship with God?"

    Answer:
Having a personal relationship with God begins the moment we realize our need for Him, admit we are sinners, and in faith receive Jesus Christ as Savior. God, our heavenly Father, has always desired to be close to us, to have a relationship with us. Before Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 3), both he and Eve knew God on an intimate, personal level. They walked with Him in the garden and talked directly to Him. Due to the sin of man, we became separated and disconnected from God.

What many people do not know, realize, or care about, is that Jesus gave us the most amazing gift—the opportunity to spend eternity with God if we trust in Him. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). God became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ to take on our sin, be killed, and then be raised to life again, proving His victory over sin and death. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). If we accept this gift, we have become acceptable to God and can have a relationship with Him.

Those who have a personal relationship with God include God in their daily lives. They pray to Him, read His word, and meditate on verses in an effort to get to know Him even better. Those who have a personal relationship with God pray for wisdom (James 1:5), which is the most valuable asset we could ever have. They take their requests to Him, asking in Jesus’ name (John 15:16). Jesus is the one who loves us enough to give His life for us (Romans 5:8), and He is the one who bridged the gap between us and God.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us as our Counselor. “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you” (John 14:15-17). Jesus said this before He died, and after He died, the Holy Spirit became available to all who earnestly seek to receive Him. He is the one who lives in the hearts of believers and never leaves. He counsels us, teaches us truths, and changes our hearts. Without this divine Holy Spirit, we would not have the ability to fight against evil and temptations. But since we do have Him, we begin to produce the fruit that comes from allowing the Spirit to control us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

This personal relationship with God is not as hard to find as we might think, and there is no mysterious formula for getting it. As soon as we become children of God, we receive the Holy Spirit, who will begin to work on our hearts. We should pray without ceasing, read the Bible, and join a Bible-believing church; all these things will help us to grow spiritually. Trusting in God to get us through each day and believing that He is our sustainer is the way to have a relationship with Him. Although we may not see changes immediately, we will begin to see them over time, and all the truths will become clear.

It would seem that any correlation between debate skill and religion lies in the mentality required to believe impossibility and the use of rational thought.

    Yeah? Nothing has changed them...
People bought Obamacare because they had to. That doesn't mean they had health care.

Moriscos were the most tolerant peoples in European history, unlike the Spaniards under Catholicism.

RE: Ask your difficult questions of an Atheist.
    ⁜→ Ritter, et al,

On this subject, how do we know what we know?

    (COMMENT)

    What is a pure act?

Titus 1:15 → To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. This is a suggestion that men know the mind of the Supreme Being.

Can man know the mind of the Supreme Being?

    (COMMENT)

Moment - Point of Order: GENESIS 1:27 → So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

The way of reason stems from implicit belief that there is one valid logic, one absolutely correct way of thinking about the Supreme Being, and that if we just define the elements of the Supreme Being clearly → and apply the rules of logic to them correctly, → we are bound to come out with the correct understanding of the Supreme Being.

Clearly this application of logic can be extremely helpful in allowing us to go beyond our immediate observations and experiences, to extrapolate into the unknown, and grasp the clear.

Discussion Group members and others that tend to repeat a logic given to them, are widely known to quarrel, often vehemently, with each other about what is true.

This is very much in spite of rather important fact that what often passed-off as "logic and rationality" → but → is actually the "rationalization" (making up reasons for what we emotionally believe) of contention over what is true by logic comes about because, as we now understand, there is no one absolutely true logic on the characteristics and nature of the Supreme Being.

    Most Resepctfully,
    R

No i am saying Obamacare made you buy health insurance and still never went to see a doctor because they could not afford it.
To us poor people an 8000 dollar medical bill is no different than a 50,000 dollar medical bill.

Yes, trying to prove unicorns is a waste of time, much like trying to prove god(s). They are both a matter of faith.

Some Republicans are smart; others are quite stupid.

The onus is neither... god(s) can't be proven/disproven.

BUT if one makes a truth claim, then the burden of proof is on them. If you claim that god(s) do not exist, then it is not my obligation to prove the opposite (and vice versa).

In the New Testament Christians are obligated to prove the existence of their god when it says "prove me now herewith": Malachi 3:10.

Their failure to do so is sin.

Obamacare saved lives, Trump non-care causes death. This, evidently, much to the delight of certain righties.

Attempted Force of a Negative Proof Fallacy. You're trying to force him into an Argument From Ignorance.

Correct. They might reject god(s) on a faith basis. They might also do so on a logically fallacious basis, such as an Argument From Ignorance or a Circular Argument Fallacy.

WRONG. Faith is synonymous with circular reasoning. Circular reasoning is logically valid reasoning. It is quite literally making use of logic.

Is he trying to say that because people disagree there is no one true logic?

How about because people disagree some are right and others are wrong.
Or more likely that everyone is sometimes right and sometimes wrong.

Why do you think that? Everyone is born with a restlessness to know God, but some people dont search it, and they turn to cups. The human heart is like a nut. a nut attaches to a bolt. People supress the desire to seek God and make God a part of their life and they replace God with cups.

A testimony can help nonbelievers come to Christ.
