Governments don't make profits from such actions, though sometimes crooked politicians manage to do so. Government is always as good or bad as the people in it. Elect honest candidates to public jobs & you'll get good government that does what it's supposed to, & does it right.
Obama & Obama's helpers are all out of office now & have no power. What in the world are you referring to in your post, that Obama or anyone connected to him are still doing. How do I make sense of your post?
The covert actions still going on and the comments and statements made by this shadow government are a prime example. As for yu making sense of anything, I have seen no evidence.
Get rid of the democrats who want nothing more than access to as much money as possible and elect a representative government. With term limits.
I suspect both Democrats & Republicans are willing to pay for them, but McConnell refuses to allow the necessary bills to come to the floor of the Senate where they could be discussed & voted on.
Every member of either party aren't all bad. There are good Democrats & good Republicans. There are also bad Democrats & bad Republicans. While I prefer Democrats philosophically, I'm open to good Republicans too. By "good," I mean honest, willing to work with others to achieve goals (even those who disagree with them), having at least some human values that they try living themselves, valuing things other than just money or power, considerate of others, willing to find compromises, capable of compassion, not an obstructionist).
Beefing up background checks and red flag laws are compromises just proposed by Republicans. Democrats respond.... essentially "go to hell racists"
1. I know of no "covert" actions by out of power Democrats. Perhaps you could provide examples? So far as "comments & statements" from those Obama Democrats, I see nothing unusual. Every administration does that after being replaced. It's called freedom of speech & a free press. 2. There are apparently a substantial number of forum members who disagree with you. Regardless, you won't hurt my feelings if you don't want to read my posts or respond to them.
We could actually work things out if you'd revise your prejudices toward Democrats to include those Republicans who do precisely the same things you describe as repulsive in your post. No party is pure or perfect. Both parties have good people & bad ones. To condemn every member of a party just because there are bad ones there too, is just as negative in approach as the behaviors you're objecting to. Don't become what you're saying you're against in the process. I agree with you on term limits, but I'm one of those nice Democrats you want nothing to do with. Now what?
Term limits should be a states issue. Not a federal law. Some states only get any influence at all if they have long term Congress people.
Similar to what the dems did when they had that power and decided that they did not want a vote on them.
I doubt that you are "one of the nice ones" with the posts that you have made. Yes, there is good and bad in both parties but only one is so driven by hate and fear that they are willing to make up charges in an attempt to overthrow a duly elected president. BTW, what you find so "repulsive" is merely a statement of truth that deserves debate, not immediate opposition.
Once again, you see only what you want to see and deny any other statement. It is unusual for the former president to constantly do this type of action.
Whether they are necessary or not, one man shouldn't control everything discussed in the Senate of the U.S. Let them discuss the bills & vote for or against them. If they fail, fine. At least a democracy can be said to be at work. But having Mitch McConnell be the single determinant over every bill without input from any other duly elected official, is NOT democratic. It smells of autocratism.
I'm a Democrat & I want background checks "beefed up" & expanded. I also support some versions of red flag laws. I don't agree that Democrats have stopped these. Mitch McConnell has two bills passed by the House with some Republican support, that he's blocking from the Senate for discussion or a vote. Thoughtlessly blaming Democrats is exactly what Republicans like McConnell want you to do. But it's not accurate. Try getting more info before you blame someone, & when you do, blame the ones who actually deserve it.
Clearly, Democrats & Republicans disagree on major issues. But that's been true as long as our country has existed. The basis for our success as a country over time has been the willingness of the two parties to continue talking, submitting ideas, compromising, & finding solutions together. It works--or did until Newt Gingrich began badmouthing compromise in every form in 1994. That started the cascade toward the "My way or the highway" & "Compromise is NOT an option" Republicans. The trend hardened in 2010, with the Tea Party extremists, & hasn't relented since. Today we have Mitch McConnell in the Senate as living proof. Democrats want to work across the aisle, but Republicans refuse & blame Democrats. I'd like to see a lot more work across the aisle. I'd like to see a lot more compromise. But it has gone so far to the right, there has to be some meaningful compensation toward the left for balance. There are more Democrats in America than Republicans, & I hope I speak for the majority when I say, unequivocally, we're not happy with the current status quo. We want change. We want dramatic change that will benefit vastly larger portions of our American society. We're sick & tired of the super wealthy controlling everything--including us. Right now, radical change is looking mighty good. Bring it on.
Democrats only want to work across the aisle when it comes out in their favor. They try to obstruct anything that does not go their way. If you ae as "moderate" as you claim you will admit this. If not, just another partisan whining when he does not get his way.
It is accurate, perhaps you should get some honest sources of information before you continue. As for the ones who actually deserve the blame, look to your beloved democrats.
