    Most countries didn't choose either side. It was a civil war after all. For Germany it was natural to choose the fascists, since they were fascists themselves, plus they had lot of new weapons to test.

    Socialism = Government ownership and operation of means of production.

    Nazis relied on private companies when it came to means of production. Have you ever seen Schindlers List? He was small beans compared to the German corporations who made a fortune selling stuff to the military machine.

    What socialist programs are you referring to? Someone said "public works" such as the highway system, but every country invests in infrastructure, and in Hitlers case even that was designed to support his upcoming war efforts.

    It is the final product not merely the issue you have that creates socialism.

    Adolf gave his people a lot of goodies. That is the socialism i speak of. He even allowed some of the Rich to believe they ran their own company. But they took orders from Hitler.

    What I am referring to is the massive programs of Hitler to manage Germany's economy. This included paid vacations for Germans using Government money. Filling their bank accounts using German Government money. Things like what FDR emulated.

    I asked you to explain what you meant, and you failed, not that you even knew the definition of socialism. The private German corporations couldn't be happier having a customer like Hitler and his war machine. Same with US. They LOVE war, because the money is coming in through doors and windows. Ask Halliburton.

    My grandparents and other workers got free houses in Hildburghausen. It was special hosing programs for young people and workers as well as service staff.

    Because mighty Russia supported Serbia, Austria-Hungary waited to declare war until its leaders received assurance from German leader Kaiser Wilhelm IIthat Germany would support their cause. Austro-Hungarian leaders feared that a Russian intervention would involve Russia’s ally, France, and possibly Great Britain as well.

    On July 5, Kaiser Wilhelm secretly pledged his support, giving Austria-Hungary a so-called carte blanche or “blank check” assurance of Germany’s backing in the case of war. The Dual Monarchy of Austria-Hungary then sent an ultimatum to Serbia, with such harsh terms as to make it almost impossible to accept.
