I'd say it's a miracle that he hasn't bankrupted the US yet like he did so many of his other businesses.

Try looking at the actual GDP itself instead of just comparing the YOY period growth rates. As for nonfarm payroll, I'll take a look later.

I don't know what you mean by "actual GDP itself," unless you're referring to aggregate GDP, which is not the right way to look at a trend. YoY growth rates tells you how fast GDP is growing relative to the same period one year period. A higher YoY growth rate means the economy is growing faster compared to the same time a year ago, and vice versa for a lower YoY growth rate.

Incarcerating criminals is NOT mistreating them.

If you want to stick with that, then fine. Take your graph and try drawing a trend line.

Not only that, conservatives were constantly talking about laying off people because of Obamacare, or how taxes and regulations were keeping business down. Of course, then it was their "patriotic" duty to peddle doom and gloom about the economy. Now, the mere mention of Trump's economy not being a miracle is unpatriotic and destroying the economy. Typical GOP revisionist history, just like they now pretend they actually gave Obama a fair chance. As if....

Don’t try to shove an adjective in someone’s throat.

I had a GREAT supper last night, two quarter pounders with cheese, a large French fries, 10 chicken nuggets, and a large Coke.

    Question; GREAT for who?

You have a point about debt.

But jobs are always going to be going to third world nations as their economies develop.

And the Chinese are hurting in this trade war. How do you expect the U.S. to respond to the unfair trade practices the Chinese use? I thought almost everyone across the American political spectrum had been bitching about that for decades?

And if Trump is that bad- how deep a hole do we have to dig to find the bottom of the left? China, perhaps...

If you have no moral values (and sadly I believe they don't based on the things they choose to embrace and the things they wrongfully deny) then they are not superior to anyone. Anywhere.

In nominal terms/current numbers, there are millions of records.

Example; Current Federal Minimum Wage; $7.25/hr.....a record high!

The Repubs and the Dems are on equal par when it comes to morals and ethics.
They both set bad examples for the youth today..

    Examples;

    a. Current Federal Minimum Wage; $7.25....a record high!
    b. We also have record revenues

HOWEVER, the current debt as a percent of GDP.....not a record

    1946....119%

Economy is such a miracle, he's talking a payroll tax cut to stimulate it. How's that for strong?

If the Fed would stop playing god to try and follow the dems who control them and quit trying to make Trump out to be a liar, they would be able to help the economy by reducing interest rates a little. So far, the economy is great. Just keep on spending and it will be even better. Consumers drive the economy.

I think he decided against it. It's too early. There isn't even a recession. Some economists are saying that ten years of a reasonable economy without a recession is about average and we are due for one. I don't think we have to have one. It's not a given. Depends on many factors outside of the U.S. and inside. It's quite complicated, though the fed can help or hurt the economy more easily than Trump.
