Is White Privilege really a thing? <<Moderator Warning>>

I was watching this video:

At around 10 minutes, a young lady is speaking of white people having fathers in the home while black women tend not to have the same thing. Jesse Lee Peterson asks of that is white people's fault. The young lady also claims pride in being affirmative action while conceding she had the best of everything. The best schooling and home life imaginable. Why should she have special privileges over a white kid? Is that not real racial supremacy: special privileges based upon race?

Your thoughts?

 

Peggy Mcintosh, who invented the term, was a classic guilt wallowing rich white liberal. She was born into a rich family, lived in a rich neighbourhood where the income was four times the national average. Went to Radcliffe when it was a finishing school for rich girls looking for rich husbands. Got a rich girl wackademic job and married IIRC a rich man. Wallows in guilt. White people should lose the guilt and self loathing. Equal right for all means equal rights for all, not special disabilities for some, special priviledges for some and equality for some.

 

The only real white privilege I've found is that whites seem to be immune to racial insults. There are hundreds of racial insults for whites found online, but whites just are not offended by them. In our secular society, the closest that we have to a taboo word is the N word. See? I can't even spell it out! But whites are immune to those insults. Good question as to why.

 

Some white people are more privileged than others and some black people are more privileged than others. There's more privileged white people than black, but privilege is not exclusive to white people.

Perhaps if we didn’t have the bigotry that existed for hundreds of years, things would be different. White males had all the privileges that were denied to people of color and women. They didn’t even have to think of their race or gender. it was just taken for granted. White men knew they would get picked up by a cab in New York City. Privilege is not exclusive to all white people I agree. But they have a Headstart in the race

I am a Obama Supporter, voted for him twice, but was very upset he used the word as President, he should have said it as "n-word" rather than the actual word, now if Trump uses it, people will say, so what, so did Obama
