From the Guardian (Robert Reich): The world needs Trump out - but are the Democrats up to the task?

    Excerpt:
The shared prosperity bit means higher-taxation for the Filthy-Rich. Filthy meaning that they obtained their exaggerated wealth due to lowered taxation that was "a gift" made by Reckless Ronnie in the 1980s for their financial backing.

And for the politically blind who do not believe that statement, here is a graphic detail of America's historical taxation rates - here.

Dang. People who work harder and smarter don't deserve to keep the fruits of their labor. Sounds like the formula to turn America into Venezula.
Fringe players like Robert Reich would be making more of a contribution if they spent their time improving San Francisco's poop maps rather than poisoning the minds of malleable kids.

Sorry but 5 million a year is still plenty for the cash pile. It hilarious how don't understand how tax margins work. ... but,but venezuela. That scheme reminds me more of Germanies tax system but whatever, venezuela.

    SOME PERTINENT INFO

There are two prominent "Economist" articles about what is happening to the US economy today. The first is mentioned above in the previous commentary.

The second is from here: Parts of America may already be facing recession

Two-liner nonsense that refuses to understand what is happening in America.

You are blind to the factual evidence. Your bad ...

Who died and left you in charge of defining how much of the earnings from their labor people should be able to keep?

Your problem is that because of the current administration's policies everyone is better off. Low unemployment, rising wages, growing opportunities are the result of low taxes. Obama told us the US has seen its best days and he was the best person to manage the decline. What happened?

The title is so misleading. Dishonest British liberals equate the world to their version liberalism which is complete nonsense. The liberal order is corrupted and needs to be replaced with something better. The only people who are desperate to get rid of Trump are bloodsucking liberal elites on both sides of the Atlantic. It would be fantastic for the free thinking world if Trump won in 2020.

    >Trump gets democratically elected as per how one gets elected in America
    >Democrats/Left-wingers still cry to this day that they lost
    >Call Trump a tyrant because he doesn't bite let alone care about political correctness, identity politics, the Left's insane dogma/religion or other jargon
    M'kay mate.

You lost. Get over it. And you will lose in 2020 if you keep this up. You're behaving like narcissistic, egotistical children.

Ironic how you cry "our democracy" but fail to realize that in a democracy, you won't always win. Funny that.

Calling these people "Liberals" is an insult to the very definition of it.

None of which is true. These benefits from those lower taxes( especially given that the lowered taxes were not balanced by a decreased budget) are just the influx before the next greater recession hits which will happen given our current track. Also being relative to wealth the rich have still been given even more handouts with those same cuts. You are in complete denial of reality.

Actually that is the formula that ended with the obscenely wealthy having their heads chopped off in the French Revolution.

The GREATER the wealth DISPARITY the greater the likelihood that it WILL be brought back into line by We the People.

History teaches these lessons for those who are WILLING to LEARN!

This is a very valid point that many on the right and even some on left are just unwilling to accept. You can't disparage the majority of your population and not expect something to happen.

A record 157+ million Americans are working.
African-American unemployment rate dropped to 5.5%, an all time record low.
Workforce participation rate for women has reached a 20 year low.
Average employee pay has increased by 3.2% over the last year.

Using Obama's terminology, Trump must have waved a magic wand. More accurately, he let people keep more of the money they earned and the results were as expected.

You keep writing about "people" and what your mean is "yourself".

People is a country - with common values, common aspirations. Which means success is possible, but extreme success should not be. Whyzzat.

Because extreme-success of the individual is dependent upon the whole (all of us).

What your dealing in therefore is pure selfishness. As if any economy (consisting of millions) was still all about me, me, me and my money, money, money ...

Meh, the democrat agenda would require taxes on everyone and at least Bernie is being honest about that.

Job growth is slowing, but the US economy is doing just fine
The latest jobs report shows no signs of an imminent recession.

Your problem is that you apparently no nothing about economies. Because if you did, you'd understand what the Ration of Employment-to-population was.

And if you did, you would go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and look up that historical graphic. (Which is here.)

What does that graphic tell you? Two things:
*That the Replicants (in the HofR) purposefully did not allow Obama any further stimulus-spending in 2010. Which meant that the economy created no jobs. As shown in the BLS stats here. If you knew how to read that chart - which I kinda-sorta doubt - you'd see that NO JOBS WERE CREATED BETWEEN December 2009 and October 2013.
*The fact that the HofR Replicants did not approve any stimulus-spend was simply a campaign-maneuver to keep unemployment high so that Obama would lose his 2011 reelection bid. (Didn't work, did it?)
*Because, finally, as of January 2014, the American economy did indeed start creating jobs.
*And by the time Donald Dork started his campaign for PotUS the E-to-p Ratio had long-since recovered.
*But, HE LOST THE POPULAR-ELECTION ANYWAY, and
*It was a wholly manipulative "Electoral College" that GAVE HIM the presidency

All of which means what? That neither does Donald Dork deserve the presidency nor did Obama torpedo the economy. (He did stop an exploding unemployment situation but was just PotUS when it started to finally rebuild itself all alone.)

And thus you are dead-wrong on both counts!

    I can't imagine how.

Outside the US, he is uniformly detested for the political-dork that he is as PotUS. Don't believe that?

See below what he has done to America's image abroad:

    Trump: a "would be tyrant"?

We've heard for three years how "any minute now, Trump is going to be the next Hitler". Well, when exactly will this happen? It seems to me if he wanted to do that, he would have done it by now.

The left is so screwed up.

I never said that, though the guy is literally mentally unstable as assessed by multiple panels of psychologists. I guess that's similar to Hitler in a way.

Most psychologists "lean" left. Or are you implying that because they lean left they can't be experts in a field, because I'm sure most of the population is going to have a problem with that.

Hmm the world, no less. So now foreign meddling in our elections is perfectly fine with the left. How very interesting and unexpected.

    We'll take your guns
    we'll take your burgers
    we'll take your air travel
    we'll take your straws.
we'll attack you physically if you are not with us
we'll destroy your business if you are not with us
    ….
    Trump is the tyrant.

    Duh

I’m suggesting they lean left, so they’re biased.

And I’m suggesting they never met Trump, so their conclusions are meaningless.
