Weymouth Superintendent Bans Booster Clubs From Selling White Out Sports Shirts

For Sporting Events Because It’s Racist And Offensive To Her!

Unfortunately, this is the district we live in. (My 14 year old goes to Weymouth high this year. Last year she was forced to participate in "activities in support of the parkland students" (*cough* Gun Control *cough*) which were voluntary yet "required" or students faced "disciplinary actions". Figure that one out!).

Now the use of the word "White" is Racist. Uhggg. Ok, so the kids can't wear Wildcat White Out sports tee shirts...I wonder if I should call the schools out about their use of "White Boards"?

Man, white is not always just white...

 

When I was in high school back in'04 the admiration came out and say we couldn't wear red or blue shirts because of the crips and bloods. This was Prescott Arizona. The black population was like .0000001. No joke, I could count the black student who I went to school with on one hand. So what alot of students did was wear them and gave a middle finger to the school. In a around about way what they did was a violation of the 1st amendment. The school board's lawyer even told them. The backed down.

 

The hypocrisy alone is stunning. Weymouth has not one single black teacher district wide.

 

White out (Black outs ect...) games are popular in pro, college and high school sports. It's a yearly tradition at Penn state and just last month the Padres wore all white in their game against the Redsox.
It is literally "just a color" in this case!

 

It's never just a color to alt left radicalists. It's an agenda.

 

Just wait for the alt left radicals to come out and say "well I disagree with this... but she has a point". As they always do

 

So if you can't have white tee's/jersey's/uniforms you can't have black or red or yellow either I guess.

Since when is a color automatically about race?

 

I wouldna wear it since it shows every spec of dirt.

 

The language purge is picking up steam. One hamburger chain is dropping the word ham from hamburger so that a certain demographic won't get triggered.

 

In nature if you mix all the colors from light, you get WHITE.

When rainbow colors are mixed you get "WHITE LIGHT" The color of the sun. Yes, the color of the sun is actually white. It only appears yellow-ish because of a lot of blue light scattered in the atmosphere.

MANUFACTUED color from all colors of pigment (paint) produces BLACK

If you mix the 3 primary colors used in digital photography or printing, Magenta, Cyan and Yellow, you get the color Brown.

White is the most diverse and the Only color that will be produced by mixing all the colors in nature.

 

Buy a "white out" shirt and run laps around the school.

I did look into purchasing a shirt. I live to be "culturally insensitive"

 

So the soccer team should do a "black-out" shirt instead. Let's see what "Weymouth Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Curtis-Whipple" would do about that.

The last time I heard two individuals argue the color white was my daughter ( bride to be) and my wife ( mother of the bride to be) picking out stuff like the color of wedding invitations, table things, favors, etc.
I sat in the family room drinking beer with my future son in law watching football and laughing at the two combatants. I told my future son in law to stay out of the way of that cat fight and just agree with the future bride if he is smart.

 

That was no more than a marketing decision. Such decisions get made all the time.

Why the heck do we call it "hamburger" when there is no ham? Plus, it's very American. At the time of invention those in Germany were astonished at the idea of Americans holding food in their hands while eating. So, I've heard of no "Hamburg" connection.

 

Ignorance? Hurt or pain? Why would this woman assume people are harmed by a shirt? There are people on the left, yes, the left, who see racism in just about everything, and when they can't find it they invent it.

What this woman did was help cement the idea that some people can only be victims and are so fragile that their lives crumble in hurt and pain when they see a shirt. It might not happen tomorrow, but the people she thinks are suffering from hurt and pain will now expect to hurt and be in pain when they see some harmless object that they were told to object to. Now imagine if she, for just a moment or two, considered the hurt and pain of the people who every day are called racists, bigots, haters, etc. by9 people like her.

Anyway, we can add yet another item to the extremely long list of what the left considers to be racist, shirts.

 

We learn that Weymouth high has no black teachers??Do they have any black students or Asians or Latinos???

 

They claim 18% minority enrollment at the high school in question.

 

Do you think that's diverse enough?

 

I strongly suspect this is a gross misrepresentation of what actually happened.

The administration OKed a sale of t-shirts of a specific design.

Subsequently, the kids working on the sale changed the t-shirt design and started promoting the game as a "white out" event without notification.

Then, the parents started calling in to the school to ask what the heck was going on. Of course, the administration hadn't been informed by the students taking these actions.

A meeting between the booster club kids and the administration led to all sides agreeing to cancel the sale, etc., and with the administration, the booster club and sports staff working to find another fundraising opportunity for this sports event.

Also, the school is apologizing to the parents and the booster club for a lack of clarity in ensuring the cancellation was not seen as a punishment.


I'll have to say, if my kid's school was having a "whiteout" with no announcement or explanation of what that even IS, I would be doing some calling, too.
