One of the women who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault gave the FBI a list of 25 individuals who she says witnessed the actions she accused Kavanaugh of, but none of these people were ever interviewed by the FBI. The reason for this, according to the FBI, was that the White House limited their authority to investigate accusations against kavanaugh, restricting them to interviewing 11 pre-selected individuals.

In order words, Trump rigged the investigations by prohibiting the FBI from fully investigating accusations and hand-picking the 11 people they WERE allowed to interview.

Democrats have already said that if they FBI doesn't fully interview the wittnesses, they will take over and do so themselves, calling all 25 wittnesses before Congress, as well as calling FBI agents involved in previous investigations to testify on the limitations placed by the whitehouse, in order to see if Trump broke the law and obstructed justice by placing those limits.

So you don't think the white house ordering the FBI to ignore possible witnesses in a criminal investigation is a issue?

    In this case? No.

I have a pretty low bar for investigation, but not that low.

If they got nothing from the first 11 what makes you think They'll get any more from the remaining 14? It was purely a slander operation from the get go. Utterly without substance.

No you misunderstood. They never interviewed ANY of the 25 witinesses. The 11 they DID interviewer were hand picked by the white house, and they were told they were not allowed to anyview anyone other than those 11. Trump basically hand picked a bunch of Kavanuagh's friends to be interviewed, and refused to allow anyone other than his friends to be interviewed.

The list of 25 wiitnesses was given to the FBI by his Kavanaugh's accuser in this case, Deborah Remirez. It was a list of formal classmates of her and Kavanaugh who had seen his actions, according to her legal team.

Not only did the FBI fail to interview any of them, some of them, and others who were not on the list, said that they actually contacted the FBI to offer their testimony and were told that they couldn't.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/kavanaughs-former-classmates-say-fbi-ignored-their-testimony

Trump literally ordered the FBI to not do their jobs.

Coons Relayed Kavanaugh Allegation To The FBI Last Fall. They Did Not Follow Up.
    https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/coons-kavanaugh-allegation-fbi-wray

Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) wrote to the FBI last fall to alert them to the allegation against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh written about in the New York Times this weekend — but the agency never followed up with the Yale grad who witnessed the alleged incident.

Maybe because the fbi was busy with the trump russia witch hunt . Why go on another witch hunt ... A.K.A. . . Dems have nothing , so keep trying everything and anything to get trump because we cant defeat him . Dems do not accept election results or conservative SC picks. They will stop at nothing but civil war to get their way . Disgusting.

They've been saying that for a year now, yet they've done nothing of the sort.

And here we go with the "obstruction" crap again.

False accusations and hollow obstruction threats.

The Democrats pulling out the only two gimmicks in their tiny little bag of tricks is getting so old.

Nope. The FBI was instructed by the WH to limit the scope of the Schlitz Kavanaugh investigation.

The entire process by which the Repubs rammed through his confirmation was a sham and a travesty.

The article is so partisan I had a tough time paying attention to all the conjecture and nonsense. I couldn't find anywhere that said the president ordered the FBI not to interview 25 people. A few facts blown up into what people call fake news.

I watched an interview of Kamala Harris by Rachel Maddow. Rachel Maddow failed to ask the one question I would have asked. "As a prosecutor, how many thirty year old cases of sexual molestation have you prosecuted?

FBI director Wray is on the record saying the WH limited the scope of the investigation in to Schlitz.

Yup, that's exactly what happened. This needs to be further investigated doggedly and maniacally.

Go get 'em, Dems! You're going to bring Kavanaugh down, and this will all end well for you. Trust me.

    Keep it up.

Your attempted deflection is, once again, noted.

Who cares? Every American concerned that the WH and compliant Senate Repubs rammed through a nominee who is morally and temperamentally unfit to be a SC justice should care.
Then again, subverting cherished institutions has become the norm under President Shithole so your surprise that someone noticed is to be expected.

Even if Brett did these things,
The statute of limitations has long since expired. There is no forensic evidence, there are no police reports, there are no photographs. Not really a whole lot to investigate. Besides, The Ford fiasco was an embarrassment on an epic scale. You really want to go through that again?

Based on thirty five year old allegations which would never be prosecuted. The argument that "but this is a permanent bench on the supreme court" is bogus for the same reason they cannot be prosecuted. Memories fade, people lie and there is no forensic evidence. Only hear say.

Just like an innocent person could be convicted, an extremely eligible candidate can be kept off the bench for political reasons.
