Imagine exercising your 1A rights by asking for the law to be enforced and you get fired for it.

Do you guys recall the Philly teacher who wanted her students to send cards of gratitude to that woman who murdered a cop and is hiding in Cuba?

How about the teachers and college professors who teach their students that white people, especially Trump supporters, are racists, why do they get a pass?

Firing this teacher was just wrong, especially since teachers who lean the other way are admired and congratulated when they spew their racist and hateful thoughts. This teacher, on her own personal time, using her own Twitter account, simply asked for existing laws to be enforced - how is that an offense worthy of being fired? I hope this lady sues the pants off the school district.

The subject of illegals is currently a hot political topic and everyone has an opinion. This woman was fired for her political beliefs.

Why do people post everything online?

    It’s insane...

trump should accommodate her request since she paid for it with her job.

If an employer tolerates the message, they condone it. By firing the teacher, the school made it known that it wasn't their message.

Here in Wisconsin, a Kenosha teenager was first stalked and then murdered by a classmate. She was a cheerleader. Her fellow cheerleaders were just denied their request to honor her at Friday's football game. The reason stated was that because the murderer's brother had also been denied the right to honor the murderer during the game, the school had to remain neutral. I will give you one guess as to the race of the murderer and the race of the victim.

A white victim cannot be honored if the murderer is black..... unreal.... completely unreal. I am sure this decision just created a few more racists..... how could it not?

That's not true. How many times have we seen teachers say something hateful or racist against whites and the school says they dont agree with the comment but respect the person's right to say it?

And another thing, why would the school not condone enforcing the law and cleaning up the school's drug problem?

Which are protected under the 1st. I recall this case from early this year. Some legal expert on the news said she has a case for a lawsuit.

Easy. By enforcing the law and removing kids from the school system and into the juvie system the schools get less money as how much they get is dependent on how many children are in the school.

It's people like that that give teachers a bad name.
She could be using her position as an educator to teach those children rather than grouse publicly about her bigotry and grandstand to a dotard like trump.
Maybe she'll make a few bucks out of it by hitting the right-wing media circuit and milking some profit out of her 15 minutes of undeserved fame.

I'll give the same comment I gave when this first came up.

    Burner account!

No idea why people use their own name on social media.

Side note: I would not have fired her for this, nor doxxed her, or whatever was done but the left are mean.
This should have just been a "stern talking to" situation.

Unless there are facts in this case that we do not know about it appears that this teacher has a case.

Was the illegal a drug seller? If that is the case he should be arrested on drug charges. Where is the police in this case?

She deserves to be fired. Her comments call into question whether she will exercise her responsibilities diligently for students that she suspects are undocumented.

It would be one thing if she asked trump to deport the illegals in her state or her city. That would not warrant firing her.

Before someone starts bashing the media the NYT, WSJ POST, NY POST, CNN etc have picked up this stored.
    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/05/us/teacher-tweets-trump-georgia-clark.html

The National Review reports that this teacher had asked a student to show her "his papers" to prove he was legal. So this was not the first time she has been an activist. In her defense she denied this 2007 incident. She was accused of this by a student.

She was also accused of calling a group of students "little Mexico"
Big deal we had a section of a city called Little Italy and that was where the Italian Festival was held. Of course that section was taken over by Bosnian Muslims so there is a mosque there now and the Italians moved away to the Burbs like my parents did years ago. So I guess it is Little Bosnia now. Anyhow no one objected to that part of town being called Little Italy.

The story goes she wanted the drugs being sold around the school plus the illegals dealt with. She complained about two issues.

Ok but the drugs in school are a local issue. Illegals is a federal issue. Was she asking Trump to deal with the drug issue?

Spinning around in the back of your minds you must recalls stories of teachers who report to school each day and just sit in a room and read books because they're not allowed to teach or be near kids. You see, these teachers were accused of being a little too sexually friendly with the kiddies, the school believes them to be dangerous enough not to put them with the kids, yet they won't fire them.

And here the two of you are damn near joyous that a teacher, exercising her First Amendment rights, is being punished by the government. Not only should you guys be outraged, because that's what you do best, you should be screaming about why the ACLU isn't helping her.

BTW, never again bitch about the First Amendment, it's obvious you two don't believe in it, so whining about it later would just point out your hypocrisy.

So expecting our laws to be enforced is 'bigoted'? Sounds more like you are bigoted against her free speech, on her own time.
