Did she have a list of names of illegal kids, or did she just want the cops to come in and drag out every brown person?

I know that when you join a union you agree to sign away some of your freedoms, but I can't imagine a government agency asking anyone to sign away their legal and protected freedoms unless the job required the handling of sensitive info or something along those lines. This woman is in the same profession as that black college professor who called all white people racists. She still has a job. I believe she works at Rutgers.

This Texas teacher didn't do or say anything that millions of us haven't already said, plus we have the backing of the sitting US president and many other politicians. She didn't say anything racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, hateful, or anything like that. She wanted the drug problem in her school cleaned up and she wanted the illegals gone.

The FWSD disagrees with you, Steve N, take it up with the Board.

She should take it up with a federal judge actually.

She may well sue but has to go through the rules and regulations of appealing the Board's decision.

I disagree with the FWSD. She was reporting illegal activity, illegals and drugs. She was basically a whistle blower.

If you know a store is being robbed does the 911 operator ask for the names of the robbers?

Not all cases belong in federal courts. States have their own courts for such things as this.

Nope. You can read all about it online, and if you disagree, you can contact the school board as well. :)

You are the one who strongly implied she violated them. Thanks for admitting you just randomly, tossed that out there. :)

The first amendment does not protect you from being fired for saying things that call into question your ability to do your job.

Fort Worth Teacher Georgia Clark Officially Dismissed Over Anti-Immigration Tweets Following Appeal

Who Is Georgia Clark? New Details On The Texas Teacher Fired For Racist Tweets About Her Students
    "3. What the law says
It’s important to note that not only is Clark revealing a staggering level of bias based on where her students were born, she is also in direct violation of the law; schools cannot deny students an education based on their immigration status and school personnel cannot make inquiries about immigration status. The Washington Post writes: “The Supreme Court ruled in Plyler v. Doe that public schools are required to provide schooling for children regardless of their immigration status. Schools cannot ask students about their immigration status or report them or family members to federal immigration authorities.” Clark tweeted that “Texas will not protect whistle blowers,” but that is because there is no whistle to blow. Texas schools are operating within the bounds of the law by allowing students to attend class regardless of immigration status. Clark is the one attempting to violate official policy in this case."

So, what the old buzzards on the SCOTUS said is that if 2,000,000,000 illegal alien kids moved to Texas (or to any other state), the State would have to educate them. Isn't that wonderful?

Was she fired or non-reelected (asked not to come back)? There's a difference. Because, as a teacher, I certainly don't support a school firing a teacher for asking on Twiiter that the police should enforce the law. However, I would support the decision of the District to not rehire her for the following year on the grounds that her use of "illegals" isn't something the District wants to be associated with...

    OK, I read the article:
"Effective Tuesday, Clark was terminated and no longer works for the district. She had been on paid administrative leave for months." They fired her. I think she'll have an excellent lawsuit. I have to think there's something more to this story. Although this is Texas, so there may be a "morality clause" in her contract, and the District can make some argument based on the word "illegals". I personally wouldn't have fired her. But I would have given her a written directive that she will henceforth, when talking about the school/district, refer to "illegals" as "undocumented immigrants". Just so we were crystal clear on it.

I would argue the teacher is not denying anyone an education, that decision would be made by someone else. As was mentioned in an above post who asked for names, the teacher didn’t give any, so that point is moot. And from what we know, the teacher did not ask anyone for their immigration status.

Where is her union and the ACLU?

It’s Texas, where they hang ’em high, guilty or not.

My main problem is with the old buzzards on the Court, who claim that I, as a tax payer, have to foot the bill for an untold number of illegal alien kids who can flood into the country at any time.

I'm frankly astounded that parents / teachers unions haven't filed lawsuits against school districts for misappropriating educational funds. Classroom overcrowding directly, and negatively impacts scholastic achievement. Supplies of teaching / learning materials are also diminished. "Undocumented" should be reason enough to at least ban enrollment. How do kids without immunization records wind up in overcrowded classrooms? Parents need to "get woke". Their kids are being robbed of the education they've paid for.

They REVERSED it!!! The outrage sparked by the school district's decision to not honor the murder victim was catastrophic. Parents threatened to pull their students from school, thousands signed petitions and talk radio went off the rails. We as conservatives MUST stand up for our values. When these cowards in positions of power do evil, hold them accountable. They will fold. A tiny victory for decency in Wisconsin.... I am so happy and flabbergasted that our side finally won one.

    https://www.cbs58.com/news/kenosha-high-school-officials-cancel-tribute-to-murdered-student

Regarding the teacher fired in this story, the parents can and should do what we did here in Wisconsin. Go after the cowards who fired this lady, protest at their homes, get them fired and ensure they never can work in the county again. We need to adopt the tactics of the left, they work.

Good, he wasn't exercising his rights. He was being nosy, being fascists supporting the tyrannical Regime running the country chasing out all the workers the republican party flooded the country with from 1980 - 2016. He should mind his own business and this FOX news Propaganda hate thread shouldn't be posted.

This isnt news, it is hate Mongering... Keep the white guy mad at all because it fits the racist agenda...

Classroom overcrowding is the result of poor pay, poor taxation of the wealthy which monies could be passed down from FED Govt. to the state and down to cities and county's as it did for 60 years until deregulation by the right wing.
Allowing people to use tax dollars to build stadiums, give big corps. financial breaks, allowing the rich to hide their assets overseas. All the result of the rich writing the bills and paying congress and mostly republicans to push them thru..
