    Not all Kurds are the same-the ones in Syria are communists, the same as in Turkey which has been fighting them since ottoman days.

    Russia is going to stay in Syria (Assad owes them), the Turks "owe" russia after shooting down their aircraft.

    I am for getting out. The Peshmerga Kurds are our allies and they aren't in Syria.

    If the Arab/Islamic world wants to do more to help-let them.

    No doubt. But America first shouldn't mean America only. We have abandoned a true ally in the Kurds who have fought along side of us for more than a decade. Big mistake if we want to have allies like the Kurds in the future. I'm a libertarian. I want to bring all the troops home but we have to honor commitments in situations that we started. Bringing troops home is a good goal. But it is important how do it. Throwing the kurds under the bus is not the way to do it.

    The usual attempted desperate diversion fails yet again.

    Fake Don is as loyal to democratic allies as he is to trophy wives.

    The Syrian Democratic Forces — the blanket group that emerged four years ago, led by the Kurdish YPG as a trusted U.S. ally — reacted with deep dismay, saying it had hoped the U.S. "would fulfill its obligations to mediate a political solution from all sides to stop war."

    Instead of brokering that deal, the group says, the U.S. is abruptly withdrawing. And it warns that the move will cause a new ethnic war to break out.

    "There are ethnic minorities here like Armenians, Assyrians, Christians, Yazidi Kurds," the SDF says, adding, "they are all in threat of being ethnically cleansed and this in turn will not lead to any political solutions."

    Lindsey is just pissed he won't be getting any more military contract kickbacks....after John POS McCain kicked the bucket, Lindsey was getting a double share.

    I think it's funny the Dems have their panties in a wad over Trump wanting to end wars....they rail and rail about ending wars but when Trump does what they say they want, they lose their ****. Seems as though plenty of Dems are getting kickbacks too.

    I'll be the first to admit that I'm not educated enough on the nuances of the Kurds in Syria to have formed an opinion on this action yet. That said, this is what I find disturbing:

    "As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). They must, with Europe and others, watch over..."

    I was reminded of Oz and something the Wizard would say. I'm not sure why. That's just what came to mind when I read that.
