    https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/11/politics/trump-mazars-appeal-decision/index.html

CNN also notes that this ruling is a strong signal that the letter from the White House earlier this week, the one where they refuse to cooperate with the impeachment investigation, will also be denied because the Court specifically rules on the it has "no authority" to require the House to take a full vote in support of a subpoena to investigate the President, citing the Constitution.

The scariest part of this ruling is the dissenting judge, a Trump appointee, who engages in judicial activism by seemingly ruling that Congress does not have the authority to investigate Trump for anything other than an impeachable act while ignoring that Congress gets to determine, in its sole discretion, what qualifies as an impeachable act.

Donald Trump has had a terrible, no good, very bad week. Also, given the multiple lawsuits that Trump has spawned, I would like to suggest that the *********ker take the same route as Sarah Palin and quit before he costs the American taxpayer any more money defending legally indefensible actions.

It's time for the Supreme Court to step in and slap the crap out of the Democrats looking to abuse the U.S. Constitution.

I guess we WON'T know who "thought things through" better (until we see if Trump can be compelled to release anything).

    The watch continues. :salute:

Is this more Trump winning. Anyways that said, it is about time, Trump has been dealing from the bottom of the deck for over 3 yrs now. I imagine more incoherent ramblings will be coming from the man soon enough.

The ruling was along party lines, two dems and one Republicans... in other words, yawn, that was totally predictable.

Trump has two appeals left, to the entire court of appeals (as opposed to this panel of 3 judges that just ruled) and the supreme court where eventually it will be settled. These intermediate steps are worthless.

Considering that all the previous Presidents (dem included) have provided their tax returns, and that it's highly likely that they will in the future, i'm not sure how the phrasing works here?

Which is a neat argument until you remember that every presidential candidate since Nixon voluntarily released their tax returns.

But yea, you keep pretending that Democrats are scared of the potential ramifications going forward.

It isn't pretending, the dems are setting major precedent here. Going in to the future, all dems( not just president candidates) will be forced to release records. And that means a spot light.

Well, his first step is to appeal it to the full panel. Chief Justice of that panel is Merrick Garland. You remember him? I bet Humpty Trumpty sure as hell will when the ruling against him comes down.

And if you're counting on Roberts or Gorsuch going along with the three known Trumpsuckers on the Supreme Court and overturning established legal precedent, you're likely to be sorely disappointed.

Trumpsters have deleted the word "imputability" from their dictionary.

You're right of course, democrat judges are fully expected to ignore the law and "legislate" according to their political biases, settle personal/political scores, support the [Democrat] party line, and make up total garbage for the sake of RESIST. I am glad you inadvertently admit that the libs know and approve this disgusting behavior.

Like I said in my post, this will still be totally irrelevant, the Supreme Court will pass the ultimate judgement. And in that respect, the opinion of people who for years spewed "Hillary in a landslide", Russia hoax, Ukraine hoax nonsense on how Roberts and Gorsuch will legislate is not worth the bandwidth their absurd prophecies consume.

There is no legal precedent that says a President MUST release his tax returns.

    More than you.

It will be laughable when you demand transparency from a Democratic elected official.

I'm looking forward to the day that the SCOTUS says this must happen and Trump physically handcuffs himself to the door of the accounting firm to stop those records from going out....

He won't quit because quitting implies guilt. Even Nixon had the better sense than to put America through the inevitable...

Every week of Donald Trump is a very bad week for America... just slight adjustments here and there...
