    At the very least, any discussion of actual governance and policy by democrats is a distant afterthought to the lies and fearmongering that seem to be central to their message.

    Cultural-Marxist revisionist history.

    The vast majority of the Dixiecrats who left the Democratic party had returned to the Democratic party with in a couple of years.

    The South continued being Democratic and kept sending Democrats to Congress and their state capitals and the mayors and county sheriffs all ran as Democrats and kept winning until the 1980's.


    Might have had something to do with Ronald Reagan and the Democratic party decided socialism was the answer.

    No it is a conservative thing. From the time of Andrew Jackson until the robber barons took over the Republican Party, the Democratic Party was the party of racist baiting conservatives. Once Johnson had come out with his great society, conservatives like Reagan fled the party. With a little marketing, the Republican Party drew conservatives to their ranks. Old Confederates didn't change their spots, they just changed to a party that is more acommidatable to their view concerning Blacks.

    If they left becasue of the Great Society, why didn't they leave during the New Deal? The reality is you are right...nobody changed their spots...the DNC was racist then, and they are now.....they just have taken their power natinoally instead of to the states...and it's not just about control of minorities, but everyone

    incorrect again...Conservatives in the United States refers to those that believe in the US Constitution. Someone can't be that, and believe and fight for Jim Crow laws. Conservative is a noun, conservative is an adjective....Liberal is a noun as well, and liberal in an adjective. You can not be a Liberal, and be liberal.....Liberals in this country adhere to the views of Stalin, Mao, etc....power and power....

    When G.W. Bush left the White House in January of 2009, westerners were able to go on vacation in Egypt. The French were sunbathing on the beaches of Benghazi. Al Qaeda was unable to conduct terrorist attacks and were either in hiding in Northern Pakistan or holding up in Yemen or in the Horn of Africa.

    The Taliban were just finishing licking their wounds in Pakistan and were just beginning to slither back into Afghanistan.

    Syria just looked like what Syria always looked like during the Bush administration...a partying destination for party animals.
