Her motives were insane. She wined and dined with the people killing our families. I'm glad you weren't "thrilled" by her actions, but it seems like you have some support for them. Interesting.

That they call themselves communist is always bizarre though .. I mean these are some of the most capitalist people you're likely to encounter. Incredible irony, really. We have to assume that either they are deeply stupid, or they think those listening are deeply stupid.

I support what she was trying to accomplish but did not agree with how she went about it. I accept her apology and respect what she was attempting to do. When people in a place 10,000 miles away are killing our family members in their own homeland, I have to question the motives of those who sent our families into those jungles and kept them there for over 10 years. The blood is on their hands not the people who were defending their turf.

 

So you spent eight freaking years ignoring Barack Obama who always gave Putin everything he wanted with nothing in exchange.

 

You can also question the motives of the war, many of us do!

Many sane Americans don't approve of motives of someone who partied with people killing our family members. You can forgive someone for their actions, or you can understand that some people are just incredibly stupid.

I don't forgive her actions, but I also don't hate her. There are very few people I actually hate. I just think she's a ****ing idiot.

 

There was a lot of genocide going on over there. Plenty of blame to go around.

Like I said, they're hypocrites and what's even worse is that they're smart enough to know they're hypocrites. They're the worst kind of frauds on the planet and they give decent hard working commies a bad name.

Go in to your next town hall meeting and start screaming about aliens or animal rights non stop, claiming freedom of expression, and see what happens. Then go into the middle of the street at noon and start singing We Shall Overcome non stop and see what happens. Go into a first grade classroom at 10 a.m. and start protesting global warming non stop and see what happens.

Thank god we got out of there when we did and those people are living in relative peace outside of all the live bombs we left there. Hopefully we learned some important lessons.

In all honesty, I don't think they can be very smart. Consider, they're pulling off a very successful fraud, without challenge. That takes long term planning, determination, dedication, cunning, intelligence, and considerable ambition. I doubt that many of these loafers have that kind of mettle, nor a clear motive for doing so. Besides, they really do think communism looks just like a nice tidy middle-class life. There is no reality in which that has ever been true, or could ever be true. Even the far more palatable Western model (voluntary small-holder collectives within the capitalist democracy context) doesn't look anything like that. Ergo, they're halfwits.

 

Good, that means we're doing things right if the commies are mad.

 

In defense of Hell, the conversations you'd have there would be a lot more interesting than those in Heaven.

 

And it's not just the Vietnam war - the fight against Communism
and the proxy war with Mao's China and the Soviet Union.
It's America bombing Japanese cities and American forces
killing innocent German civilians.

Some of her behavior was over the top and she apologize for that. However she helped activate the millions of Americans who are opposed to a war that was obscene

How is that relevant to today’s realities?

 

Renee lives in the past. Not much is measured against prevailing conditions, much less forward.
