There is forum is sexist. It has a women's rights section but refuses to create a man's rights section. This is not equality. why should men go without??? Before some man hating feminist tries to silence this thread. Yes men face issues everyday exactly the same as women. And yes their is a need for it. Look how many threads about mens issues are being posted in the women's rights thread. Why not change the section to gender equality or create a separate mens rights section. Why does the forum feel the need to excluded?
This forum is Egalitarian. SDMB forum is sexist -- anyone who has compassion for men is banned. Twitter is sexist -- the vast majority of those who have compassion for men are banned.
PolitForum is one of the few remaining bastions of Freedom and Egalitarianism. SDMB censors all Politically Incorrect speech.
Sexist may have been too strong. But why will the forum refuse to make a mens section where there is clearly demand for it. It seems to fall in with modern thinking that mens issues are to be brushed under the carpet. Scan the women's rights section. The majority of the posts should be in a "mens rights " section. Womens issues are literally being burried in the men related posts.
I suppose the women issues are losing out mostly as this has become the men's section and the women issues are being/or have been pushed out their own forum section.
That's a good point! How did modern men turn out that way? They were intentionally trained to become that.
Typical response to mens issues in general really. They often just get cut down and men made to fall in line. Anyways not that me moaning we need a mens section so we don't keep having to use and clog up the women's bit is a real issue. If everyone is happy making the women's section about men it's a non issue.
Believe me if gone about getting a mens rights section the right way, apparently there isn't a need or i guess an audience. Even though the women's rights section is FULL of mens rights stuff.
I think it started when fems convinced males it was OK to cry. A bunch took it seriously and now can't shut up.
Hopefully more men and eventually women will understand that in Modern World there is very severe discrimination against men. In 1819, in Russia most people viewed Serfdom as acceptable. In 1819 US South most viewed Slavery as acceptable.
We are active anywhere we can be. On Twitter it is bannable. In 1819, most people in US South, Carribean, Brazil thought Slavery is fair. In Russia most people thought Serfdom is fair. In Russia, 30% of peasants were serfs who had to work half time for their owners. The other 70% of peasants paid taxes like all citizens. In US South, about 30% of people were slaves.
I think it's just assumed that you can post about men's issues in the "women's rights" section. The title just is a simple way to convey an obvious meaning, if not the most technically accurate way to do it.
Yes and no. It's highly possible it's just an instinct. Women are more necessary to reproduction than men, should I really explain why ? Women share some physical common points with children : big eyes, high pitched voice, small chin and apparently we tend to be "programmed" to value more such individuals, that's why we love so much baby animals. If my memory is correct pet animals tend to have bigger eyes, but I'm not 100 %. It's just a natural instinct to value more women life and see men life as more dispensable.
I like it that way. Trust me, the last thing you want is creating a male version of feminism...don't stoop to their level.
I don't think it's stooping for men to fight for rights, things like real equality in the family courts, fighting for male victims of domestic violence to be taken seriously e.t.c. Loads of real equality issues are simply not being addressed properly in this male bashing modern society. It's quite funny that men seem to tell other men to just shut up and take the injustices like a man or not to whine. The male bashing and feminization of men will continue to happen as long as men accept it and not stand upto it.
