We are going to find out if the eco-doomsday predictions are correct because we are not going to implement even the least of the measures we're assured are, at a minimum, necessary to stave off eco-doom.

I'm fifty six years old. I have seen quite a few eco-doomsday predictions come and go.

I will, however, reconsider the issue if and when ocean front property starts to decline in value.

Seriously dude, I'd really have to reconsider if I saw a mass exodus from Martha's Vineyard.

Guess what, in Miami, inland area property is increasing in value faster than my oceanfront property. Time to reconsider - I am. There is a very expensive neighborhood in Ft. Lauderdale that flooded almost every day for over a month now at high tide.

“I’ll believe you when it’s too late to do anything about it.”

I get that pushing 60 you won’t have to deal with the worst yet to come. I hope you don’t have kids or loved ones under 40, because this post is one big **** you to any of them.

You suppose those areas flooded with any regularity 30 years ago?

How are beach front property prices down there?
Do you think that there's any way that you can get some schlep to sell some beachfront property at a huge loss because he's facing a get-something-for-it now or nothing-for-it-later choice? Do you think that any of those beachfront homeowners believe in the eco-doom predictions enough to sell cheap?

    A question isn’t a conclusion. It’s a question. Note the question mark (?).

How about just reply to each of my posts once. That’d be a good start.

Are we now referring to the sentence or are we stilling referring to the word?

I'm curious...which eco-doomsday predictions are you referring to? Where did they come from and why did you decide to take them seriously?

"Seriously"? I started to become aware of eco-doomsday predictions, of various and often contradictory types, in the early 1970s. For your convenience, they are well listed and documented on the youtube these days. Suffice it to say that I've seen enough eco-doomsday predictions come and go to not take them seriously.

This is not he first time that experts, in some narrow field of expertise, were left to sincerely believe that life on Earth, as we know it, depends on their guidance . I have personally heard preachers and politicians make the same claim.

I guess by "seriously" I meant something worth talking about or mentioning in forum post. I hear all sorts of doomsday predictions too, but I don't take any of them seriously enough to even post about their existence.

agw & the global doom claims from it, is just another doomsday prediction for monetary sake...

Maybe you can help me out because I'm not familiar with any legitimate doomsday predictions from AGW. Can you give me an example of a doomsday prediction from the IPCC's AR5 report?

    yes...
the entire report suggests... well, you know, doomsday if we don't 'do something', ergo it's a doomsday prediction malarkey

Furthermore, we're going to call them on their "malarkey". We are not going to do even the minimum the IPCC says must be done to stave off eco-doom.
