The error here is acting as if government control and regulation of the economy is a moral absolute. It's not. It's a moral injustice that creates human atrocities.

The moral fight is for freedom, not nationalism, not government control, not religious oversight, not social bondage, but liberty and the inviolate sovereignty of the individual human soul. No man, no group, no government, no religion, can claim the right to own another human being's life, and still be granted the title, Human Being.

If you want to end wars, end government involvement in the economy.

There was no Russia in the 20th century, it was the Soviet Union, an internationalist state imposed on the Russian people by the criminal Bolsheviks and based on the ideologies of Karl Marx, a German/Jew and a product of the Enlightenment.

When the USSR collapsed, Russia was then robbed by the 'Harvard' boys who went there to help them adjust to a free market. With their help and with financing from foreign banks, their Russian cohorts bought up Russia's assets and shipped billions to foreign banks while the Russians went hungry.

That they were not able to continue their criminal policy and fill their pockets, is the reason they hate Vladimir Putin. He managed to pull Russia out of the Western sphere and made it totally self sufficient so that they can withstand any attack from the West - something which seems to occur every 20 years.

Interesting. Still, it's no excuse for Putin's thuggery nor his betrayal of Ayn Rand. Unless, of course, you want to argue Putin's not rich, the Russian economy is a free market, and Putin's respect for the freedom of the press knows no boundary.

He's no Thomas Jefferson, Payne, or Aquinas, but he certainly is a Stalin-Lite, and seeks to become Russian's "Julius Caesar". You're not defending the best of Man, you're defending an example of one of its worse.

Curious, is We the Living available in Russian? For that matter, in China? I heard both ban Jevohah's Witnesses as extremists groups. I can't fathom anyone who is viewed as more extreme than Ayn Rand, though, really, she's just spot on--she's the little girl telling the world the Emperor has no clothes--in her view, the Emperor is Altruism--the sacrifice of the one to all for the sake of the common good, like Jesus on a cross.

Seriously, have YOU considered most Russians believe in
The Rule of A Strong Man
as a means of stability in their society?
My Russian Father In Law certainly did.

As best as I can tell, everyone has there own interpretation of her philosophy.
What is yours? Your synopsis of her philosophy.
A cliche used by the ignorant vs personal study?
    What betrayal?

sadly, the reality is that all such decisions become projected through the lens of partisan politics. At one time conservatives lambasted Obama for being lax in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. And now trump seems to be leading the charge to reduce these adventures

There can not be differing interpretations—just fools deluding themselves they are smarter than her. If there is a trademark to Ayn Rand’s writing, it’s clarity, not ambiguity—She doesn’t pull punches; if there is a trademark to her philosophy, it’s reason.

For example—How many interpretations are there to this statement.

Ayn Rand: “Do not hide behind such superficialities as whether you should or should not give a dime to a beggar. That is not the issue. The issue is whether you do or do not have the right to exist without giving him that dime. The issue is whether you must keep buying your life, dime by dime, from any beggar who might choose to approach you. The issue is whether the need of others is the first mortgage on your life and the moral purpose of your existence. The issue is whether man is to be regarded as a sacrificial animal. Any man of self-esteem will answer: “No.” Altruism says: “Yes.”
    http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/altruism.html

    My interpretation:
Altruism condemns you a life of service to others, slavery; respect for your soul says: To hell with that.

    What’s yours?

What betrayal? Liberty to tyranny; the living to serve the state, the free market to government controls, Kira to an automaton soldier. And that’s barely touching the surface.

    Mine is confused because,
I know this major, major, major business owner
who claims to be an Ayn Rand influenced person
reading her book(s) when he was in Vietnam.
From an in impoverished home in Kentucky.

Yet even third parties I know, who happen to meet his employees
have remarked how happy his employees are with their working arrangements.
He truly grieves when one of over thousands dies in an accident or illness.
He covers their expenses and seems hardly Ayn Rand to me.

    So confused.
I believe her attitude was, "Let Them Die!".

    Go figure.
    I can't.

I would support Ayn Randism on Homeless Camps
in San Francisco, Venice Beach, Santa Monica. etc.
Offering them first the alternative of camping in
Bakersfield or Barstow with free transportation first.
Processing for the productive but down in their luck
    from the psychiatric/medical/druggies.

Let them die? Link to the quote. Her attitude was: My life, hands off. Or. Let us alone.
Obviously, you’ve never read her books; if you had, you’d realize just how inviolate, sacred, and holy she held the human spirit. The only thing is she was referring to that which put man on the moon, not the drunk in the gutter.

Perhaps it’s this attitude you refer to:

“Man’s life, as required by his nature, is not the life of a mindless brute, of a looting thug or a mooching mystic, but the life of a thinking being—not life by means of force or fraud, but life by means of achievement—not survival at any price, since there’s only one price that pays for man’s survival: reason.”
    —Ayn Rand http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/man.html

But that’s not “let them die”, it’s”my life is mine to live”.

Apologists for Israeli crimes, like you, are a dime-a-dozen. Repeating Israeli lies does not make them become true.

More applicable to your paranoia than actual reality. Israel’s biggest crime: Not destroying the PLO and Hamas—a cancer they refuse to remove.

Go back and see who was the Comptroller for the Pentagon in September 2001. Name: Dov Zakheim, an Israeli rabbi. Go back and find out when he went to work in the Pentagon.

So what? Under your fantasy, if it was a Christian, then the Pope determined foreign policy; if was an atheist, than non-believers ruled foreign policy; and if it was a Beatle fan, then the John Lennon ruled foreign policy. It’s absurd, and it leads to nowhere, man.

Mine is not a fantasy sir. Mine is simply an analysis of past events that demonstrate the "enemy" status of Israel, and its status as international war criminal.

You may disagree, and you may embrace the criminal government in Tel Aviv, but it is no fantasy to be aware of the government's record and current activities in Gaza and elsewhere.

It’s sin is in not wiping the Palestinian movement off the face of the Earth—JFC—it’s the only GD democracy in the region and the only MFKNG state that has freedom of conscious and freedom of the press. Boy, if ever one was lost in hate, stupidity, prejudice, and delusions, it has to be those who claim the Jews rule the world. Sick.

Ok then, prove it. You are the one accusing Israel of a crime, burden of proof is on you.

People who hate Israel often bring this up..

Americans whose first loyalty is to America and its G.I.s do not "hate Israel" just as they do not consider all Israelis war criminals.

It is an irrefutable fact even admitted by an honorable Israeli pilot(1) that the Israelis knew they were massacring American G.I.s.
This particular Israeli pilot refused to participate in the criminal massacre and was arrested for his ethical and courageous decision.
What does that say about the foreign government whose war crimes against American G.I.s you are so desperate to deny.

It is adequate proof that after decades and a $10,000 reward no one has been able to verify the traitorous A Jay Cristol's lie that:
"After ten official US investigations (including five congressional investigations), there was never any evidence that the attack was made with knowledge that the target was a US ship."

    $10,000 Challenge
    https://www.usslibertyveterans.org/10000challenge.html

"The Liberty Veterans Association offers a $10,000 reward to anyone who can establish the truth of A. Jay Cristol's claim:

"After ten official US investigations (including five congressional investigations), there was never any evidence that the attack was made with knowledge that the target was a US ship."

    (1) "Israeli Pilot Speaks Up"
    https://www.wrmea.org/1993-june/the-assault-on-the-uss-liberty-still-covered-up-after-26-years.html

EXCERPT "Fifteen years after the attack, an Israeli pilot approached Liberty survivors and then held extensive interviews with former Congressman Paul N. (Pete) McCloskey about his role. According to this senior Israeli lead pilot, he recognized the Liberty as American immediately, so informed his headquarters, and was told to ignore the American flag and continue his attack. He refused to do so and returned to base, where he was arrested."CONTINUED

Yeah. 7000 American losers who died for nothing. How about you find out how many children got massacred in that chaos?
Is anybody in the US being held responsible over any of that? It's not happening. And so it will happen again.

And don't go whine about them losers. It's not as if I'm talking about them heroes from WWII. Let's be clear about that.

ethnic cleansing at gun point.... "not terror"....
    are you kidding me?

All them settlements are illegal / war criminal. That has been established. You simply may not do that according to the Geneva Conventions. Israel signed it, and so is in violation. Since it's a simple basic thing and off topic: you go look it up yourself.

Remember that alleged gas attack by assad where our Intel lied to us once again and said assad did it!

Well once again the UN investigation said it was not assad. That is what the investigators said in their report . But then from pressure from uunnamed Americans caused the report to be edited and instead of assad not being guilty now he was guilty!÷

There are 3 or 4 people here who called BS on these gas attacks given the timing while most bought the lie. These people somehow forget how our Intel lie to us ,their employers and obviously dont think much of us the deplorables.

So if you called BS on the inyrl, you are superior in detecting lies and BS. So have lots of kids to pass on the good DNA . The bad dna folks are killing us.

Everyone's aware of what Israel is doing and it is criminal, but unless there's a change in government Israel is not going to stop. If there is a change though, and Israel does stop, will the terrorists stop, and will the threats stop, and will there be peace without Israel going under Islam?

I don't think so, and that is the problem.
