    Y'know, the full quote was "And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the p*ssy. You can do anything."

    So tell me how "They let you do it" indicates "without consent." Because it seems to me that if they LET you do it, consent is explicitly mentioned.

    I've said many times before I don't think Trump has the class or temperment to be the prez, but I also find the LW here completely going into a fugue state when they see those five words "they let you do it" - only to have said fugue state end right afterwards to be incredibly hilarious. I'm just asking Bowerbird about it. I mean, maybe the LW DOES go into a fugue state when they see those five words. Who knows? It would make for an interesting experiment - could we keep a LW-er in a coma indefinitely by looping those five words and playing them? This could have major medical uses. I mean, we could tale a Democrat and put them in suspended animation for a hundred years by just replaying those five words indefinitely and without the use of freon or somesuch.

    When I became a teacher, my wife reminded me of something that happened when she was in high school - seeing her teacher and his wife kiss during a field trip, and the class thought it was weird. She then told me we'd never have any PDA if there were any kids around.

    I mean, this isn't some kind of Humper Biden-level scandal or anything, it's just - well, it's Joe being Joe. It IS odd. Good for him that he loves his wife, but geez - there's a time and place for it.

    I could give you dozens of stories right off the top of my head regarding rock stars and their groupies; how these guys could ask and get ANYthing from their fans because when you're famous - heck, even barely famous - they would let the guys do anything to them. I think the best example of it would be Motley Crue's Spaghetti Incident. At the other end of the scale would be Chris Brown who even AFTER giving Rihanna a black eye got THESE tweets. And there's plenty more stories out there.

    Rationalizing Trump's statement? Looks like I just proved him right, when you're famous, there's people out there who will let you do anything to them.

    Assumes facts not in evidence/Moving goalposts. It's never been stated that he DIDN'T ask beforehand or not. You don't know that he didn't and can't prove that he didn't.
