Morning consult statewide approval numbers for November have just come out. I'm making my own story out of this, since I track this poll monthly

    https://morningconsult.com/tracking-trump-2/

Some changes from October to November

    - Trump (re)added 3 states where he had been negative in October
    Alaska -1 to +10 (+11)
    Florida -2 to +1 (+3)
    Utah -3 to +2 (+5)

    Positive gain = 26 states
    No change = 13
    Negative gain = 12

    - Overall (all 50 states), he gained 63 pts
    Biggest Gains
    Alaska +11
    New Mexico/Wyoming +8
    Nevada +7
    (All Western states....Hmmm)

    Biggest Losses
    Vermont -8
    South Dakota -4
    Hawaii/North Dakota/Kansas/Missouri -3
(Mostly a strip down the middle of the country...Hmmm)

    Analysis
I'm not sure I understand what would cause anything to add support for Trump, unless it's people feeling sorry for him undergoing impeachment. Will be fascinating to see what December looks like if he is actually impeached before Christmas.

For those of you who poo-poo Morning Consult, remember that this is reporting generally good news for Trump, although it's important to remember that this good month aside, Trump is on average down 21 points per state from when he took office in January 2017.

    Thoughts?

I feel sad that nobody commented on my thread, especially all you conservatives..

I'm posting essentially good factual news for Trump and nobody jumps on??

C'mon bros, don't leave me hanging...

Haven't we continuously told you the kangaroo court three-ring circus will backfire on Democrats?

I believe, we did. What else is to discuss here?

Well, I've been a bit busier as of late due to the semester about to end soon, but beyond that I will admit to wondering why someone who really, REALLY doesn't like Trump is posting a thread saying his popularity numbers are up. It'd be as unusual as me starting a thread about the press being unbiased and professional. I guess what I'm saying is that I sense a "gotcha" in here somewhere.

Beyond that, Dutch is essentially correct. My read on it - something other politicians have said, even LW ones - is that this would only end up helping Trump in the long run. The sense is out there - and this is after the years of drum-beating by the LW - is that this is less a concern for justice by the Dems and more the culmination of years of irrational hatred of Trump, which in turn makes Trump look like the underdog, which in turn leads to higher numbers for him.

I mean, you'd THINK some Dem would remember what happened with Clinton during HIS impeachment and how that didn't work, but I guess that's asking too much out of people.

If it's "backfiring", why is his approval dropping in some of the middle of the country and gaining in some of the west?? Any thoughts on that?

There's no gotcha here... I detest Trump (don't use hate anymore, per Nancy), but I believe this Morning Consult is the only poll that's tracked Trump's statewide approval since the beginning.. And if he gained in 26 states in November, I'm curious if ya'll think it's the impeachment news, and I'm assuming that's a big 10-4. There is nothing good he did in the month....

Don't forget, R's "won" the WH in 2000, so it sort of worked in the end... When Al Gore was clearly the more qualified candidate...

And I have a bridge to sell if you truly believe she who has ran out of meetings and called the president names, doesn't hate him(hint: She does.) And her hatred of the president, along with Schiff's and Nadler's has given a big stink bomb to the House of Representatives.

I wasn't a fan of Congress at all during the Mueller investigation, but the "most diverse" class has been America's greatest folly, as it has resorted to blaming Mitch McConnell for its own failure.

The backfiring will happen on Nov 3 2020; until then just like in 2015, Dems will happily observe the polls predicting Donald Trump’ re-election bid’s imminent failure.

To a degree. More likely, you’ witnessing is Liberalism’s failure and Conservatism’ triumph.

    Simple, really.

Impeachment in the face of all the facts we have (polling, proximity to the election) seems like it has to be emotionally driven not logic driven.

It's like when your Boss tells to do something you don't want to and then you sock him in the jaw. Right as your throwing the punch you feel good and then you've lost your job and your in Jail. Trump is the Boss Democrats want to punch by way of Impeachment.

I agree I can't understand why anyone would increase support for Trump. Wild guess, maybe it is themselves or their relatives that were unemployed or underemployed during Obama years that now have a job. Crazy thought. Perhaps if they have a 401K they kind of like the awesome growth, maybe they didn't like being forced to purchase obamacare at triple the cost of what they used to have, maybe they are being "woke" to the shenanigans of the loser party and are rethinking the bill of goods they have been sold for years. Could be that prediction by Klugman about how the markets will dive and never recover, remember that guy who has an economics degree. Did he get from the same cereal box that AOC got hers?

    Just a thought.

More like a never ending witch hunt against the president of the united states of America. Its so obvious that the dirty dems are the people up to their eyelashes in corruption . With , the wide use of social media Americans everywhere can see just what these dems are trying to do here. Long gone are the days they can make up their BS stories and it was in the newspaper and on the nightly news program . We all know and see what is going on , and the more the dirty dems keep up their attempted fraud on the American people the more support our president will receive. You guys will learn someday , the hard way this time im afraid . But ont the bright side , the more dirty dems are exposed , the better for America and Americans.

"Medicare for all" wouldn't add support for Trump since his healthcare plan is ? for ?...

It's only going to rotate to a different D.

But, good attempt... I like it...
