British conservatives are enjoying their biggest victory in 30 years as voters gave PM Boris Johnson a mandate to follow through with Brexit and leave the EU:

Congratulations to British conservatives, Brexiteers and Boris Johnson.

Once again, fortune smiles on the bold.

Proving once again that the people, united against the forces of Big Bad Government, can never be defeated.

    The Magna Carta has held.

    This truly is grand.

It is great news. My wife and I were glued to the BBC last night cheering the results.

If history repeats itself, there will be more great news for us after our next election.

They lost massive in Scotland. And Scotland starts new independence referendum.

Who would once have thought that conservatism means that a nation gives up large parts of its area?

LOL. Scotland can't do another referendum without first asking permission for it...
Believe me, since I'm from Quebec, Canada, and have gone through 2 independance referendums, if the federal government says no, then it's no!
Beside, no one will pick a fight over Scotland, especially Germany who doesn't have any real power projection.

Look what happened to Labour's "Red Wall" yesterday. Working class districts that had been held by Labour for decades, if not a century, fell to Johnson and the Conservatives. It's remarkably similar to what happened in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in 2016, and you probably saw the recent poll that has Trump beating all the Dem frontrunners in those states.

It's amazing to see this happening - old political certainties are crumbling not only here but abroad. You have to wonder how far this might spread through the rest of Europe where "populist" parties have been gaining strength.

I encourage the Canadian people to not stand for a government that rules over them.

I think it was a case where the Labour Party was hated more than the Tories were loved. But I’m happy with a monumental win.

The international trend is definitely away from socialism and one world government.

    It takes two to tango.
You can't have a single province decide how the rest of the country will be. It must be a common accord to hold the vote and respect the outcome.
What Scotland is saying is that they want to unilaterally separate from the UK, in which case it will be a small revolt that Scotland will lose.

It's Labour that has gotten killed in Scotland and Johnson isn't going to give up anything. He said before the election he would not authorize a Scottish referendum on independence.

EDIT: By the way, has the AfD responded to the British election?

I think it is because in the long run collective leftist rule with their -- nearly always self-destructive -- laws and rulings AGAINST the best interests of their own people and dominant culture makes people uneasy. Since they never know what new insanity their leftist rulers will make into law next they tend to fear the future.

In the United States, for instance, look at what nearly total and long term leftist rule has done by way of turning most of southern California into a miserable crap hole.

    It does matter.

Has the AfD in Germany responded to the results of the British election? I'm curious how the other Right-wing, "populist" and Euroskeptic parties in Europe are reacting.

Im member of the AfD. The AfD is against Brexit, we changed our stance regarding the EU when we saw the chaos unfolding in the UK. We want reform the EU. The shocking development in the UK proved to be a too much negative development to support it any longer.

On the flip side it's great to see people taking control of their future as they've done in Britain.

I love watching Leftists lose, no matter where they are. :D

The fall of Labour's 'Red Wall" is a moment to celebrate

Finally, there's going to be some movement with Brexit and an end to all the infighting in Parliament. It was getting tiring. The important thing is that the people have won, and those who tried to use their money and power to stop Brexit lost.

Whether it will be financially beneficial remains to be seen, but pulling out from the EU and Germany's social and financial dominance is well worth it. This doesn't mean I'm against Germany, only that their standards and beliefs should remain within their own borders, and shouldn't be imposed on others.

Reform the EU ? Good luck with that. That train had already left the station.
    You'd better reform Germany first.
