    Extremely. Imagine the phone call:

    Iran: Hey, just a heads-up: we're going to attack you guys with about a dozen ballistic missiles at these airbases. If you don't want anyone killed, clear them out.
    America: OK.

    That's not an easy call to make. Like I said, when have we ever let a country get away with something like that? Maybe when N. Korea took one of our boats? But we're still technically at war with them.

    Credit to Trump, it's not easy to back down after a country just launched an attack against you.

    The fact that you said this immediately after liking a post where someone argued that "lefties were making soleimani into a hero is pure irony.

    And let's take a look at what he said.

    So...his post is two sentences long. The first is declaring the US much safer. The second is that Iran shot an airline out of the sky. You really want to argue that he does not give the appearance of arguing that them shooting the plane from the sky is an example of why the US is safer?

    Ok...so how does Iran being so scared shirtless that they shoot down an airline and accidentally kill 280 people make America safer?

    Also, and this is a serious question, should Trumps decision to kill Soleimani via airstrike and thereby provoking the Iranian response, should the death of those 280 individuals be placed in any part on the shoulders of trump?

    That's a dodge, but I can still answer it.

    Americans who live near Iran or pick flights that travel near or thorough Iranian airspace and now justifiably more afraid.

    I couldn't get to the first article behind a paywall, but even the extremely biased redstate article only claimed "effectively" gave him amnesty, which isn't true. It took him off of sanctions lists. PERIOD. It did not grant amnesty or absolve him of anything. Being on the lists in the first place isn't any real judgement of anyone on the sanctions lists in the first place.

    You really should avoid reading such poor sources. The Iran Deal itself was pretty easy to read.

    Well if there was a plot to blow up the US embassy in Baghdad, then that plot won't have disappeared with the killing of Soleimani. So it would be pointless killing him due to this plot.

    He was given amnesty.... I have provided multiple links & video and you have provided zero proof to the contrary.

    The UK Telegraph that posted the article in 2015 is not a right wing publication.

    Did you notice how your source places the phrase "amnesty" in quotes and says phrases like "effectively granted amnesty?"

    Theres your proof.

    We can get into the weeds of the technical definition for amnesty and why Obama's actions do not qualify, but suffice it to say, it will not convince you otherwise. So I am just going to move on and note that Obama removed his name from a proscribed list which imposed personal sanctions as part of the Iran deal.

    That is not amnesty, but you call it what you will.

    Do you believe removing General Soleimani from the sanctions list was a smart move?

    Would you approve if you lost a family member to Soleimani?

    I also don’t see why the UK Telegraph would say “amnesty”, if it was not true.

    Most of the stories I found were based on that article.

    I did find this New York Times article from 2015 that says Soleimani will be delisted at phase2 which will be a result of the termination of the UN sanctions at that point in time.

    I am just going off the information I can find.
    Doing Soleimani any favors makes me sick.

    I am so glad Trump killed this pr1ck.
