Why would Iran attack Canadians in response to what happened to their general?

    I don't understand why Iran would kill Canadians when it was the United States that they want revenge with...

    Not saying that they should attack the USA, but I don't get why they attacked Canada... Was it a mistake? That's like getting punched by a bully and saying "I'm going to hurt your neighbor now!!! That is not a threat! It's a promise!!!" and then killing the bully's neighbor... what?

    I'm glad you don't understand it, because its an absolutely batshit crazy thing to do and nobody is claiming Canadians were a target.

    Presumably the flight was misidentified as a US cruise missile and the commander on the ground took the shot. It was an incompetent decision, but that is generally the case in accidents.

    The Canadians just happened to be on that flight returning home after visiting their relatives. Canada has accepted a couple of waves of Iranian refugees since the 60's and as the victim list testifies are important productive contributors to our society.

    Thank God we have Idaho. If it weren't for the shape of Idaho which resembles a guy holding a gun to Canda's soft underbelly, reminding them that we mean business, who knows what those cunning Candaians would be up to?

    As to the topic at hand, I doubt the Iranians targeted Canadians or Ukranians. I truly believe the Irani military is just that bad.

    It's just weird that it happened to be Iran that did it after DT decided to kill their general. So I guess there is still imminent danger to the US then, am I right?

    The Iran military is "just that bad" huh? It's funny because I don't recall any hiccups with Iran's military until just this past 7 days...

    Because former PM Harper closed down the CDN embassy in Tehran and labelled Iran a state sponsor of terrorism(he was right). They're still sore about it!

    Where is the sense in attacking anyone and everyone? Are they trying to downsize their country? Do they want to become a glass bowl?

    I'd hate to see it but what if they attacked Russia or, even worse, their sworn enemy the USA? What then?

    Russia has been attacked several times.....hence no SU for almost 30 yrs(a good thing), keep attacking.

    Iran may get whats coming to them.

    I don't understand why that is the case. They have a lot to learn from us but instead they choose religion and killing the infidels... Where is the sense in that? Why don't they do something positive like join the arms race in AI like Saudi Arabia?

    Here's the thing a lot of people who have not been immersed in foreign cultures don't understand....

    ....you can't use the way you think to understand how they think.

    This is why leftists think they can mass migrate the people who want to kill them, and suddenly they'll see the error of their ways and we'll all skip happily down the street in our multi skin color diversity.

    I think they made a legit mistake ). I'm not saying it's OK but they have nothing to gain by taking out a commercial flight.
