That ^^^ is not what is being projected by the IPCC. And you are again confusing weather with global warming.

Yes, I lived through the drought of '76. I remember it well. I spent most of it on the beach in Lowestoft.
However, the maximum temperature reached that year was almost 5 degrees Celcius lower than that from last year and the drought was caused by below-average rain the previous winter.
Better water management and full reservoirs at the beginning of 2019 saved us from that disaster last year. If not for those conditions the 2019 crop yield would have been even more seriously affected.

My faith in your knowledge of what the IPCC has to say gets lower with every post you make.

I'm trying to have an informative conversation with 557 (whose opinion I value) if you could keep your talking point catchphrase interruptions to a minimum that would be helpful.
    Thank you in advance.

We might be able able to eventually reduce greenhouse gases, but the human population appears to be greater than the earth's carrying capacity.
Won't happen. Even environmentalists are in the way with their opposition to using nuclear power.

I'm guessing that you provided this link to show that storms, floods and droughts have always happened?
However, since many of these records have been broken in the last decade or so it might lead one to conclude that extreme weather events are increasing at a much faster rate than previously recorded?

But again weather is not climate. That is all the information you need.

That oversimplification of complex matters is clearly all the information that you require but it is not sufficient for my ''needs''.
Now, please try to stop getting in the way of meaningful debate. I'm loathed to use the ignore function but I may make an exception if you continue to interject your simplistic catchphrases into conversations between other members.

You remind me of engineering types I knew who wouldn't take courses in economics.
A few courses in what? History? Psychology?
How do you know it's BS if you have little or no knowledge of the subject?

And now you figure the Orange Oaf will play our trading partners like a "cheap harmonica" by making a bilateral trade deal with China that cut them out of Chinese markets.

No, you don't have an example of permafrost under your hay bales.

Arson during a drought and high wind when brush has not been cleared is a big problem.

Are you suggesting that Muslim terrorists set the fires in Australia?

Just rather obvious facts. Probably why you could not challenge any of them. Right? ;-)

I think an argument can be made they're still spending more time on health care.

Are you sure you're not confusing media attention with what Congress is working on?

Ty for the detailed first hand account of what has been done to Australia

Your "Left" is apparently unable to turn Australia into a feces dump like San Francisco so they have contrived to burn it to a crisp. It is obvious that the political opposition to irrational "progressive" nihilism in Australia has been far too passive for decades.
