    Actually, the ERA is one state away from passing. Amending constitutions can happen; it just takes patience and perseverance.

    There's no way this General Assembly and Governor Coonman are passing a recall measure.

    As for the ERA, the deadline expired in the early '80s.

    The sunset clauses need to be struck down as unconstitutional once and for all if they are not in the amendment themselves. They are blatantly unconstitutional checks by congress to prevent the states or people from achieving a constitutional convention. Congresses own words during the progressive era.

    It is used when congress thinks it will pass by the state they take the amendment pass it put a time limit on it, in hopes of killing the amendment. Time for the courts to end this practice once and for all.

    Many of these will be challenged. Northern Virginia should be annexed to Maryland and we can return Virginia to conservative constitutional values.

    We would be glad to take all the 2A Sanctuary counties to WV. No problem!

    Or better yet, rename northern Virginia to Northern Virginia and we will rightfully take back the state or Virginia.
