Americans in every U.S. metropolitan area saw income gains in 2018, the first time that has happened in 26 years, according to figures published by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/financ...mericans-made-more-money-every-144534994.html

    Everyone out here making money.

First time in almost three decades everybody across the board is getting paid. That doesnt mean spend it, that means save the extra and invest it when the market corrects itself (not if, but when).

    Until then, let's party.

The average American will spend every penny and then borrow. Just like the average politician!

    You're spot on.

When the market DOES correct itself, people living above their means because the economy is humming will be in for a rude awakening.

So do you think Trump will be able to troll the DP House bosses into starting new hearings when the Senate kicks this nonsense to the curb?

The voters would just love watching them do that until late October. What could go wrong? ;-)

My family doesnt live in such an area so that explains r why my daughter who is an RN and my son in law who is a 1099 subcontractor in construction saw no increase in income as cost of living increased. So they went backwards in disposabhv inle income as much of rural and small town Americans did.

I come from Pikeville, KY. I know all about it.

As sad as it is to say, that's just the way of the world now. The only people who live in rural areas are the poor, or the wealthy. There are few in betweens.

I dont consider where I live rural so much, but it is 14 minutes to the nearest gas station. Even so, I dont think I'd be counted as a major metropolitan subject but I most definitely saw my income increase this year. In fact, it doubled.

    I find the post ironic
EVERY METROPOLITAN AREA........Those are not Trump voters, and will not be again. The "RED" areas on his maps (not marked with a Sharpie) are doing no better than 3 yrs. ago.

Thank goodness for those capitalist farmers and corporations that need taxpayer dough to exist upon.

Our six largest banks benefitted greatly from Dirty Donalds tax cuts in 2019 as they made $32 BILLION in excess profits while laying off rank and file employees and giving senior executives large raises.

I live in one of those "red" rural areas and not only am I doing better than I was 3 years ago so are my neighbors. Folks are building new homes and garages, renovating and making improvements to their existing homes and property. Last month I dropped 4 grand on a home improvement and paid cash for it.

Oh, and I just got a raise, too.

Pretty country. My wife and I have done some camping and hiking around the Abingdon area in SW Virginia. It's one of my favorite areas in our fair commonwealth.

Interesting. I live in rural south-central Virginia and we've got quite a few middle class people (including myself) living out in the sticks. A lot of folks are packing their bags and trading the urban "progressive" shitholes they lived in for a better quality of life in the country.

Your article stated that people in rural areas are making more money, too. Evidently, you and I are just two examples.

Only applies if you're making money. If you're one of the Democrats who isn't, then this is just going to be a cause for resentment towards those whose lives are improving.
