    Interesting!

Does NOT say what you claimed!

I have issues with this paper in any event as it is an unpublished paper that appears to be a part of someone’s PHD

You mean before the war on education had rendered it's right-wing victims?

The war on education by Republicans started .... I would say around the turn of the century. But it was timid back then. I remember a debate in 2008 Republican primaries the candidates (about 10 of them, at that point) were asked, by show of hands, which of them believed that AGW was real. They all raised their hands. It went all-out when Obama took office.

I think the statistic is meaningless. But here goes...

But most Republicans understand that Climate Change is real. It's just the extremists who are Science denialists

How do you explain lack of progress in anything except more research on “proven” subjects when the opposite side of the political spectrum has complete control? Also, is Trump so powerful he is preventing the climate community from using the private sector and doing an end run around his administration?

Did you know budget allocations under Trump for many environmental programs are higher than under President Obama? Did you know Trump asked for $32 million for the Montreal Protocol Multilateral Fund and the senate passed it but the Democratically controlled house cut it to $29 million?

Look at the questions and who answered them correctly the most often. It is mathematically impossible for the republicans not to have the highest average score.
It was a study done by the university. Regardless, it makes no difference what the purpose of the study was. Republicans did better with a sample size of 1185. .

Yes, the subject was Republican/right wing attack on education. The GOP is an American political party commonly referred to as right wing.

No insight into why if most educators in the US are “woke”, and not right wing or Republican, education can be to blame for ignorance on climate change?

That is a very very broad claim

We HAD the Paris agreement which would have put the brakes on CHINA! But of course that no longer applies does it? And China is busy selling coal fired power stations, at easy pay back options, to third world countries. China is busy buying favour in a lot of these countries while Trump plays golf

Damn! I wish our current govt was not up Big coals arse as WE could be making huge profits and tying these countries to us economically by selling them viable RE infrastructure

Btw, like Golem I research my answers and just found THIS gem

    https://insideclimatenews.org/news/...republican-business-support-montreal-protocol

Trump is refusing to ratify the Kigali agreement which would limit the production of HFCs

Education has not been proved to be an indicator of common sense or keeping up with current events. Show me a study that actually tests them on current events.

They took a sample size of 1185 and asked them where they got their news and gave them the test. Republicans did better where ever they go their news.

Sorry but it's the only way to go now. No time to be politically correct anymore. We gotta say things as they are. If we keep waiting for extremists on the right to catch up, we're not going to go as far as we need to to solve this mess.

Ah, snowball guy. You are the second person to give me that in about a month.

How does snowball guy keep climate changers from taking practical actions? What did snowball guy do during the eight year Obama administration that kept us from having enough nuclear reactors today that we wouldn’t be having this discussion? Your crew is all talk and very little to no concrete action. Blaming it on snowball guy is pathetic from where I sit.

But none of what you said proved or disproved anything one way or the other. It was just a speech. I am still looking for this 97% study that so many people are claiming.

That's quite an ego thinking you speak for the whole climate crusading community there. Just one problem though, there's another crusader out there directly contradicting you. I'm willing to wager she's a touch more popular than you are too.

I've already posted her demands. You might want to throw some of that weight you think have in her direction instead of mine. You know her name. In fact, you're the one who brought her up.

You actually need it explained to you how a United States Senator can impede action on Climate Change? The guy who was Chair of the Senate Committee on the Environment? You don't know how this guy could stop action on AGW from going through Congress?

    Wow

    Don't you get it????

For the hundredth time.... the time for proving and disproving is over! We have been trying to educate the right for 25 years. Enough!

Now they just need to get out of the way and let the adults in the room do what they can to stop this mess.

I don't care how many times you claim it. The propaganda is that 97% of scientists believe this. There is no such survey. It was a lie meant to convince us that they know what they are doing. If they have to lie, then there is something fundamentally wrong with their argument.

I repeat what people like me, who have been trying to educate the right for 25 years, say. It's enough. The right is never going to understand Science even if we keep trying for 25 more years. The good news is that they are the older population. The younger generations know the facts better than they ever will.

All my respect to anybody on this forum who is still trying to teach science to the right. I'm just explaining to you that I know it's fruitless. And not even necessary anymore.

If you're talking about Greta. She's not educating you. What she is doing is exactly what you said: demanding. The time to educate is over. Now it's the time to demand that governments take action.

And maybe not everything she asks for is feasible. After all, she's only 16. But she is doing the right thing by demanding. She knows the right had the opportunity to learn science. They chose not to, that's their problem!

But true. And again, what should be a positive to you if you were really serious about solutions, is either distasteful or irrelevant. I’m having a hard time understanding that.

Help me out here. What exactly were “we” going to do to make China behave? You are aware China has reaffirmed it’s commitment to the Paris agreement, right?

Is it illegal in Australia to innovate, develop, and market R.E. infrastructure to foreign countries?

And you have a full understanding of why some would oppose the amendment, right? Not just an emotional reaction to Trump not signing off immediately? When did you become an advocate for the ability of huge corporations to enrich themselves at the expense of consumers with the blessing of government?

That's better than 9 out of 10 dentists who believe that brushing your teeth twice a day prevents cavities.

You probably never washed your teeth after watching that commercial, right? The 10th dentist was the one who made a bundle fixing your teeth and those of people who though like you.

There was a famous line by PT Barnum that had to do with that, but I can't remember what it was.

Yes, you need to explain how, when he was not the chair during the first six years the Obama administration, and he was in the minority party for the two years Obama had both houses of Congress, and still in the minority party in the senate until 2014, snowball guy kept a wrench in the works.

This is why I have a hard time taking you seriously.

Show me the 97% study. I have asked this same question many times. Why do you believe in AGW? Understand the science enough to confirm all the calculations are correct? Politics? 97% of scientists believe it?

It appears that most people start with politics and then try to justify it with the phony 97% claim. That appears pretty flimsy to me.
