It's because I'm talking about the time when slavery was outlawed across the country, and the effect it had on producing citizenship and its effect then on political segregation, and how white people dominated black people after reconstruction. Well, this is only my personal opinion mind you!

But what you consider Reconstruction was nothing more then the North toppling the cotton kings of the south! The emancipation of the Blacks was just a economic attack on the cotton farmers and their chief means of labor.. The south were far more wealthy then the north and the northern politician knew that the south had to be dismantled economically in order to have them surrender and end the succession movement.. The war on slavery was just one propaganda used to unite northern citizens to finance the plan, politicians never actually cared about the education, treatment or freeing the slave!



Here is the two biggest reason why the Northern Politician went to war!

At that time "COTTON" was the U.S. and England's economy, and the South owned it all.. The emancipation of the Blacks was nothing more then creating cannon fodder and descension withing the southern states.. As I mentioned earlier, after war, and the south fell in to line with the north, the starving uneducated, never been off the farm migrated right back to where they were confortable, plantation life..

 

So forming a caucus to advance the legislative interests of black people and other people with similar interests racist to you? That's what the CBC does. There are hundreds of caucuses and organizations for various ethnic groups and interests. Black people are going to have them. If that were racist, then why does Donald Trump meet with them? Surely, he wouldn't if it were racist for the CBC to exist.

Some people may have mocked Ms. Ryan's complaints. Others supported her. At the end of the day, her radio demographic probably supported her and she kept her job. So, I'm not sure why you think she made a stupid move. She reminded people how certain behaviors in the workplace can be perceived negatively.

That would apply only if the ~17% who dont think trump is a racist would vote for him. And given that this poll found 90% disapprove of his job performance, that seems unlikely.

It will be interesting to compare this poll with actual results from the next election.

My local area is not in jive with the poll. According to our local fish wrapper.

My money says trump will get record numbers of black votes for the GOP. For I trust local data much more than national data. Harder to affect local polling. I always assume national data done by the establishment to be affected and inaccurate.

So lets see how it works out after the election .

 

I start at the beginning and give actual facts about what the reconstruction era after the civil war and what the war was really about.. You think it was all about Blacks, when they were actually irrelevant other then to choke off their "South" economic dominance and defiance of the north and their growing unwanted constitution.. You oddly have a very narrow view of all things associated with the reason for civil war and what was most important part of the reconstruction period.. It hardly had anything to do with freeing or educating the slaves, if it had they would have never been left to starve OR return to their plantations and essentially compensated the very same as before emancipation!

 

You read the quotes of the blacks they interviewed in the OP article and you go WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. This has been the best economy for minorities and the lower income groups in modern if not all our our economic history. Then they go on about how they know how white people don't know what it's like to be black while saying they a black person what's it's like to white.
Let's hope all this talk goes out the window when they enter the voting booth and then see how the results turn out compared to what they tell exit pollers.

83 percent of those black folks polled may have voiced that but I doubt 83 percent of black Americans believe trump to be a racist. I give black folks more credit.

That would depend on the alternative. And people are prone to voicing their displeasure even while engaging in that which they disapprove, be it politicians, associations, entertainment, food, clothes, etc.

By what data and whose measure? Since his election, my support and confidence in him has increased due to his job performance. In fact, he has proven himself to be a far better President than the man Americans knew going in. So I question your numbers that his primary support is waning. BTW, this topic is about whether Trumps support among blacks is increasing or decreasing.

 

That makes no sense. Why would racists abandon a racist party to join a party that isn't racist for the sake of furthering their own racist goals? It'd be like whacking your thumb with a hammer because you don't like pain.
