You mean the year Trump was still President, and the Republicans won the Senate when the Dems swore they'd take Congress? LOL!!!!
I accept your concession that you lied about “the only two posters in this thread expressing disappointment in the acquittal have nothing to say except the equivalent of But Hillary won the popular vote”. Cheers
So the fact that Republican's played their own partisan games means nothing? BOTH sides did wrong with this impeachment process. And two wrongs do not make a right. No matter how you spin it. Look, I'm a Trump supporter. I'm glad he was acquitted, as he should have been. But lets not let that hinder our ability to see just how messed up this whole process was from beginning to end. From both sides.
Most pundits said the senate was highly unlikely but feel free to rewrite history if it makes you feel better. Also, the Republicans did not win the Senate, they already held it. They lost the House.
The Impeachment wasn't meant to remove Trump. The Democrats knew he wouldn't be removed. It was just meant to try and scar Trump for the 2020 election. But luckily, the Democrats are so ****ed right now in their own party that the impeachment means nothing now
Odd that you'd make this statement right after you cited 2018 LOL!!!!! Happy Acquittal day!! Good luck with Mayor Pete! LOL!
And that is the issue here — the tit for tat is going to spiral out of control with both sides cheering for their “teams” misdeeds. I fear it is going to do tremendous damage to the nation before it rectifies itself. The precedent being set from both sides is alarming on its own...
I know this. Doesn't it concern you? That aside doesn't how the impeachment process was conducted concern you also? Not just how the Dems conducted themselves, but also the Republicans?
Maybe you could be a little bit more specific about what Trump did wrong by looking into Biden's corruption? Was his timing off? Should he have waited until (they had time to cover it up), wasn't a candidate?
It should be a huge warning for the Dems. What they did to start this was not legal. It will come back to haunt them one day when they have a President. To your point- yes, it's very dangerous. Now it's an even larger partisan battle for years to come
It's odd that you said the Republicans didn't win the Senate. You either win the Senate, or you lose it. LOL!! You lost the Senate. in 2018.
They kept the senate as they held it prior to the election. Had democrats have held it prior Republicans would have won it. Semantics — irrelevant.
They didn't "keep" anything. Every senator was voted on the same way. They won the votes. You (liberals) lost the votes. Are you one of those "participation trophy" people? That doesn't apply here.
You did. All of you liberals lost the senate. I'm not sure why you're so upset about it now. 2018 proved that the liberals can't win the Senate. Big deal... you guys will win something in like a decade or so
What you say is irrelevant...obviously. Because you said the "Republicans didn't win the Senate" in 2018. Which by quickly fact checking you, is a complete fabrication. The Republicans won the Senate. Do you need sources of the Senate election?
