    "the face of the LW"?

I never realized that you held me in such Undying ESTEEM and in such an EXALTED Position.

Thanks, Mr. SW--I didn't know that you cared (that much).

Wow, I am getting kind of misty-eyed.

    Thanks again.

I will try to live up to the Faith that you have put in me (and the Esteemed/Exalted Position that you hold me in).

I will try not to disappoint you.

As far as Mitt in 2020?

    Why not?

I would LOVE to see it. If only to make Trump sweat.

Thanks again for the compliment. I appreciate it. :handshake:

    Carry on. :salute:

No you won't. You would never vote for Mittens. Stop making statements that you would never fulfill.

Their latest hoax once again failed, so now they make up stuff to beat Trump supporters with.

If Romney had any REAL integrity he would run in 2020. Not because he could win but because it would mean that Trump would lose.

But that's not Romney's goal;. He wants to position himself as the pre-eminent post Trump Republican...whether he admits it or not

I don't think that's true. I think he just can't swallow the fact that he lost when he ran and Trump, a loud mouth, porn-star banging, zero experience politician did what he could NOT.

Mitt can siphon off what's left of the Rinos and become another Socialist Democrat. I like that AND the fact he is History. He's returned to his liberal roots. Pro Abortion, Pro Progressive. Even his faithful Mormon friends will turn on him. It is a classical example of Benedict Arnold. Couldn't get what he personally wanted from the GOP so he turned to the enemy. Had those sentiments all along!

What's he gonna do....bring back the business as usual establishment? I wouldn't be surprised if his hands are dirty along with Hunter B.

Mitt Romney is a decent, intelligent, god fearing man, everything Trump is not. The Trump base is made up of angry, vengeful people with a desire to "stick it to the other guy." Mitt Romney isn't made that way and he would receive little support from Trump's current base. He doesn't hate enough.

    mitt already mounted a donkey...

truth is, if trump didnt run '16, the gop would have lost the election to dems...

the gop was defunct, no constituency, trump brought all the true americans out of the woodwork and back into voting...

as long as they keep showing up at the polls for elections, they'll cowtow to him...

dems know that their base is fully split, progs/libs vs moderates/conventionals, and they'll never come to agreement on a candidate, ergo the witchhunt for political gain...

dems made their own bed allowing the progs to take over the party, greed does that...

i, for one, hope the dems can take back control of their party, although i wont hold my breath...

Actually, I am speculating that he is planning an Independent run this year for the NeverTrumpers and moderate Democrats if Sanders were to win the nomination.

He's in cahoots with Bill Kristol, a lead NeverTrump coordinator in the 2016 election. They were scrambling to find someone with "a name" to run against Trump. They ended up with Mormom, and ex-CIA operative Evan McMullin. They really only had some long-shot goal to win Utah's electors, but prove that a 3rd party is viable. Kristol did try to get Romney to be "their guy" in 2016. I'm guessing that this year, they have him.

Rick Wilson, who insulted Trump voters on CNN last week, will likely be the Never-Trump campaign chairman again this year.

Romney is likely to attract an equal number of votes from Trump and from moderate Democrats. It's likely that Trump will still win, and Democrats will blame who? Mitt Romney. :roflol:

He ran for president before. The horror about him coming from the left was deafening. You want to switch the horror so it comes from the right. That's politics - insane.

When the AOC's of the Democrat Party realize the 3 week Pelosi delay was an attack on Bernie --- keeping him sequestered during the run up to Iowa. When they realize that the screw up in the Iowa count was engineered to keep him from taking Iowa momentum to New Hampshire, there may be a 3rd party run, but it won't be on the Republican side. The Bern has nothing to lose. 2020 is his last shot.

Stop telling me what I’d do. I’d consider Mitt if Bernie and Trump were the other choices

His opponents weren’t Bernie or Trump. If Obama runs again I’ll definitely not vote for Mitt. But that seems unlikely.

I think it's a brilliant idea. I had hoped that some well funded never trumpers would run a Trump alternative as an independent, and Mitt might just fit the bill. The problem is, this would be a bigger problem for Democrats than Republicans. The GOP is solidly behind Trump and the never trumpers number in the hundreds, but there is very likely to be millions of disenfranchised Democrats who hate how their primary process is going, hate their own candidates, but can't vote for Trump.

Keep thinking of these good ideas!
