Its not Trumps fault that I can't find an emotionally independent woman of childbearing age that will tolerate my lack of romanticism. Other than that, I I'm extatic with my personal life.

You know that fawning is unbecoming of grown men?

As is the petty jealousy and sour grapes coming from the left.

Our country is finally on the right path again and we have a President worthy of a huge collective "thank you Trump!" #Sorrynotsorry that bothers some left-wingers so much.

What you call "fawning" most people would call "gratitude".

If your concern is people driving high, then how come alcohol is legal? How about nicotine (first use, especially in the morning, produces very intense high)? How about other things like legal opioids, prescription drugs, kratom, etc?
Maybe government should concentrate on governing and let such things to be regulated by local communities.
You cannot be for small government and then advocate that government dictating to citizens what substances they can or cannot use or who they have sex with. If the government should not be able to force me to buy some insurance then that government should not be able to tell me what substances to consume to relax after work.

News like this makes me happy, hopefully it's accurate.

I grow tired of reading about Americans complaining to no end about any and every little thing. News stories regarding lawsuits and policies and regulations involving the most ridiculous of "issues" in society. The majority of the gripes that people have here seriously are the very definition of "1st world problems". It's comforting to read news claiming that most Americans actually are satisfied with their lives.

You live in America....I know it's all relative but in comparison to the rest of the world your life really IS pretty good. Good to know the majority of Americans actually understand that.

My point is we need a national blood concentration limit set for THC. This is a safety issue, so big vs small government is irrelevant. I would think anyone who smokes weed would want the same thing. It's a protection from a traffic stop where the cop smells weed and arrests the subject for DUI, since there is no legal limit they are all done.

That doesn't make any sense. An equal number of positive Trump threads and negative Trump threads seems appropriate.

Made a buttload of money this year and never got off my dead ass. My wife and I are making more than we did when we were working.

I agree with this. All drugs should be legal, as the government has no constitutional power to regulate what a person can or can not ingest.

but like blood alcohol levels, there needs to be blood tests and a “limit” of what allowed in your system if you are driving a motor vehicle on a public roadway.

Have they started to divide up the stats between those who are stoned and drunk vs only stoned? Last time I looked into that they didn't differentiate. (But that was a few years after Colorado legalized so it's been a bit)

Also, new profile pic? Threw me off for a minute lol

It's likely accurate. Unfortunately the news tends to amplify everything terrible about the world and now that we have a 24 hour news cycle and dominating coverage of all things bad, it's easy for many to get the idea that things are absolutely terrible.

We are living in an age where the most people live in decent conditions vs the past. It's actually quite amazing to see, if one takes the necessary time to look for it.

I swear, the news needs to start with positive stories and then shift to the negative vs the current setup of 99% negative and one "feel good" story at the end.

All I am calling for is some national standard for what's legally too stoned to drive. Keep in mind there are people that can drive just fine with a blood alcohol lever of 0.1 or even higher so there must be some middle ground where we can say "if a driver is found to have over X nanograms of THC per milliliter in their blood, they automatically get a DUI-cannabis". When I had a commercial driver's license, the legal limit was 0.04 on the job or not.

I agree emphatically. Indeed for a while there it looked very odd as Democrats were the ones pulling nullification out of the bag.

Is it any surprise that all Federal politicians are opposed to reducing Federal power and therefore their own?

They should thank their mate, friends and family. Most people's personal lives are centered around their close relationships, not elected officials.

The news is a business and unfortunately it has been demonstrated time and time again that people in general are drawn to negative coverage over positive coverage regarding the news. The news spending 99% of the time talking about negative issues is the result of the public. I actually just watched a documentary about this sort of thing a few weeks ago and it mentioned how a news agency tried to do exactly what you proposed here and they folded almost immediately.

People don't want to hear about mostly positive news, people want negative news and the news agencies that try to show nothing but positive news tend to fail quickly. That says way more about humanity in general than the news agencies....

.....and according to GALLUP, 87% reported satisfaction with their personal lives during a period when Federal Receipts EXCEEDED Spending.

    Recommendation;

To balance the budget, WE Republicans would cut our social related expenditures by 50% over the next five years, and then, ask GALLUP to conduct a new poll.

Even though we Americans seem to love spewing political vitriol, it's great to see that no matter who is running the country, most people's day to day satisfaction is still pretty good. I always feel lucky to have been born in this part of the world, at this time in history.
