Rome was a corrupt empire slowly decaying and rotting from within, just like the USA.

The US is $23 trillion in debt and will be posting $1 trillion deficits every year for the foreseeable future. The stock market is a gigantic bubble fueled by the central bank pumping cheap liquidity into the banking system. Several large States and cities across the US are trending towards insolvency. US entitlements are unsustainable. Student debt levels are astronomical. The writing is on the wall. The US empire is in the midst of a slow motion implosion.

    Germany's plan wasn't a secret.

They wanted to confront and contain Bolshevism in eastern Europe and Russia.

Unfortunately, the US and the UK came to the rescue of Bolshevism, which allowed the Soviet dictatorship under Stalin to conquer half of Europe for fifty years.

The evidence that Patton was murdered is overwhelming.

Patton figured out, quite quickly, that the war on Germany was based on lies, and that the only ones who benefited from the war were Bolsheviks.

Only because Americans had been repeatedly lied to by their own government about the true nature of the war.

The world will be much better off when the corrupt US empire finally expires.

The US and the UK engaged in mass murder of innocents throughout WWII as well.

You seriously think there is another nation or group of nations which would use their power on the world stage better than the U.S.?

    Name them and explain why.

The implosion of the US empire will bring about a multipolar international order where the great powers check and balance one another.

The US and UK tried to stop the Red army after WW I, but failed. I haven't found much info on it to know how much effort went into supporting the White army. If going by treaty, the UK should have declared war on Stalin when they invaded Poland, but reality probably prevented it. The UK and US seemed to be oblivious to Stalin's intentions or maybe they were intimidated by him. Coming from democratic countries we were at a disadvantage to Stalin. He could do practically whatever he wanted. The US and UK public would not stand for offensive action against Stalin after so much war.

That never works. For one because there are no more "great powers".

These were war crimes for which individual commanders were responsible.
But what the Germans did, happen on behalf of their criminal Nazi government. :(

Oh. I thought this was a "Brag about my new boat" thread. I do agree that the last war worth fighting was with Germany.

Britain and France.... Ugh. Was Danzig that important? Was the Polish corridor which held almost entirely Germans who wanted to be reunited with Germany really worth it? Hitler made it clear to England that he had no overseas imperial desires. Britain could have kept it's empire and Germany could have crushed Communism.

Of course the problem was that Germany was taking its rightful place as the dominant power in Europe and Britain nor France could stomach it.

Ironically, despite being economically crippled in the first war and bombed into oblivion in the second, Germany today IS the economic power of Europe.

Well, Germans did this once. But to be sure, most Germans did not know this was going
on and for a good reason. So we can't blame the German general public.
And beside, it was the English who invented concentration camps and it was the Russians
who probably had the best ones. It's the North Koreans and Chinese who still run them
    today.
But for proof of Nazi death camps - I hope you aren't referring to those - there's tons of
    proof.

The truth is, I have not seen a camp myself nor heard about it at the time... I was still a child under ten.
Anyway, it all doesn't matter anymore. Everybody is dead by now, and the postwar German Governments have all accepted the guilt and responsibility.

    Interesting....

You admit that what I had said was essentially correct in my criticisms of the German government's actions today ("crap happens"), but then you conclude by stating that I have no "freeking idea" what I'm talking about. Indeed, your only rejoinder seems to be a criticism that here in the States, we aren't building trains that can go 300 kilometers-per-hour. Frankly, I thought your "Regierung" hired more convincing propaganda-artists..., although I'll admit that I wish we could have "Schnellzug" trains like Germany had forty years ago!

When WAS the last time in German history that you had trains that ran punctually, in great comfort and cleanliness, all the time? When was the last time that you built a massive, ahead-of-its-time highway system that was a 'wonder of the world'? When was the last time that German economists and engineers could design improvements in infrastructure and societal efficiency without hindrance from literally dozens of pockets of resistors who never wanted any useful improvements at all...?

Suggestion: get your "gut-Menschen" and über-liberal "Greens" out of their choke-hold power over Germany and you MAY be able to match the rates of genuine improvement that your country had ninety years ago!

Hint: you don't need a 'swastika' to build a nation -- but you do need picks and shovels -- and the will to use them!

Once, Germany had a 'Reich Arbeitdienst' -- but today, you've got more and more 'slackers' and bums who don't work at all! :lonely:

The Roman Empire lasted well over 1000 years.
The USA can do that too. :)
