BREAKING: Mueller’s Prosecutor Abruptly Resigns From Roger Stone Case After DOJ Backs Down From Excessive Sentencing

One of the last of Robert Mueller's Dem Party contributing Obama era holdover thugs resigns after getting caught reneging on a sentencing agreement between himself and his DOJ bosses by trying to massively increase the number of years that Roger Stone was going to receive.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...ter-doj-backs-down-from-excessive-sentencing/

It's almost as if one of Mueller's thugs was out for political revenge, eh?

It was within the sentencing guidelines. The revision should be interesting. And, "recommendations" do not have to be taken by the judge. Actual sentencing comes next week.

Not the point and readers of this OP know it. He had told the DOJ -- his own bosses -- what he would be recommending and then he deliberately went over the top instead. The only reasons you do that is because you got paid off -- anyone check the DNC's account lately? -- or you are out for revenge.

It might even have been the scum-bucket who recommended that Stone and his wife be treated like captured drug lords and notified CNN of the event in advance. It's got that smell to it.

Considering that it was the equivalent of career suicide . . . it's probably correct.

That really wasn't my question...how do you know that the prosecutor had recommended a lower sentence to his bosses at DoJ and then raised his sentence recommendation to the Court?

For those of you that don't consider thegatewaypundit to be a legitimate news source, here's this story from one.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/11/politics/mueller-prosecutor-zelinsky-resigns/index.html

Sounds like Bill Barr is putting the sentencing fix in to me... shocking a grand total of one (1) person in this country.

MSNBC is reporting a 2nd prosecutor resigned as well...

FWIW, 7-9 years did seem awfully high to me... I would have put Tricky Roger in for 3-5 myself...

OTOH, here's some wishful thinking from Stone's team...

    SNIP
Stone’s attorneys wrote to Judge Jackson, "It is respectfully submitted that the Court should impose a non-Guidelines sentence of probation with any conditions that the Court deems reasonable under the circumstances."
    ENDSNIP

Still waiting on something from a legitimate news source...

I agree, 7-9 years is ridiculously high, especially if Stone is a first time offender.

Between the excessive sentence and misleading the DOJ it appears that the prosecutor who resigned was interested in something other than justice...

As one of the jurors said, the whole matter should have been handled by the IRS.

Undoubtedly.Especially since last week was considered one of the
best of his Presidency.A Great SOTU and Front Page on the Washington
Post - Trump ACQUITED -. Meaning he can't be Unacquited.
But Trump can seek having his Impeachment asterick expunged.
With a New GOP house majority.
I noticed that rat face Andrew Weissmann was being used by MSNBC
    for commentary a week ago.I wonder if Jerome Corsi { On YouTube }
is allowed to offer his take. We'll soon find out.

Well, then you can go click on gatewaypundit then... it's your phone/computer

7-9 years is clearly within the sentencing guidelines, just on the higher (not ridiculously) side...

    SNIP
The maximum penalty for all counts totals 50 years in prison, though first-time offenders generally receive significantly lower sentences.
    ENDSNIP

Roger also deserves a little sentence bump for his post arrest behavior... The judge certainly will be considering that she had to gag this butthead... Remember the judge doesn't have to follow either sides sentencing recommendations.

This was never about Stone's Taxes. It was about any possible
connections he had with WikiLeaks.Since WikiLeaks was the ultimate
Whistleblower.Julian Assange is now in the hands of a Global Deep State.
Plus they tried to nail his buddy Glen Greenwald living in Brazil.
But a Judge had to toss out the charges.Greenwald sometimes appears
on Tucker Carlson at 8 PM.

No mention of the prosecutor misleading the DOJ in a report I just watched on MSNBC...

Update, a 3rd prosecutor has quit the case.... the 2nd prosecutor has resigned from the DOJ. I don't believe 2 of the prosecutors have gone that far...

Wonder if anybody will show up to watch Stone sentenced next week? I imagine Stone will anyway...

    Hasn't been verified...

You ARE aware the prosecutors are PART OF the DOJ, right??

Sounds like there was some simple communication issues between the prosecution group and Fat Bob Costas...

The word is that the team that was handling the case told the DOJ a different story about what they were recommending for a sentence and that is the reason for the actions from the leadership at the DOJ.
