Cane sword-wielding Dunnellon man accused of threatening Trump supporters

DUNNELLON — A 49-year-old Dunnellon man accused of threatening multiple people favorable to President Donald Trump, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of disorderly conduct by police.

...The victims told an officer that a man, later identified as James L. Whitehurst II, had approached them during their peaceful assembly with what was described as a cane sword in hand. The officer was told Whitehurst pointed the sword in their faces and made threatening statements. The sword was allegedly 6 inches from their faces, according to the victims, and they felt afraid.

In this case, 10 people were assaulted with a sword cane-which is indeed a deadly weapon.

Thankfully the perpetrator is behind bars.

So here's how it will go:

We'll have one poster saying something like "Whoa this happened six days ago," and go on about that. Another poster - or maybe the same one - will attack the source.

Then another poster - or maybe the same one again - will call the guy who got arrested a RW plant with no evidence. When the guy is arrested - well, looks like he already was - said poster will vanish from the thread.

Perhaps another poster will challenge the bravery of said Trump supporters being victims of assault or battery or both, or whatever the guy was charged with.

Meanwhile, said LW poster(s) will overlook the crimes committed by one of their own and/or make excuses for it.

This will in no way change the fact that if some Trump supporter had done the same to a bunch of - oh I dunno, Bernie Bros, said LW posters would be going absolutely nuts.

It seems like these are some Perp-Favorable Prosecutors.

The case was (obviously) UNDER-Charged.

It was (obviously) 10 Counts of Attempted MURDER.

Upon Conviction, I would recommend Life Without Parole.

Hopefully the victims of this heinous crime aren't (irreversibly) psychologically traumatized.

Hopefully, this Heinous Criminal faces the Full Extent of Justice,

Godspeed.

Usually, in cases such as this--that are being pushed by the Pro-Trump Crowd, there are multiple threads started within minutes of the story hitting the wires.

Hey, has anyone in the judicial system asked this bozo why in the world he's walking about with a freakin' cane sword? Is he some kind of cosplay guy or what? Granted, I work in a school so I usually run into knives and sometimes guns. I did once take a tire iron out of a kid's backpack. But a cane sword is a new one.

 

I have to say when looking at the provided link, it was the picture of the woman fishing near the bottom of the page and above the "play this for one minute" that drew my eye.
