The USG committed a serious atrocity in Waco. They chose not to do it again for a very good reason. I am surprised that you appear not to know why. Do I have to spell it out for you?
I know it hasn't been done again. Which is why your statement "Atrocities like Waco are not rare events." makes ZERO sense.
They have been rare in the US since the OKC bombing. Historically they are not rare - government is the great killer of human beings. Surely you know that.
Guess you never heard of Vietnam, we lost tens of thousand or our citizens there fighting an illegal U.S. lead war.
And lots of gun related crimes as well. Almost 10,000 gun crimes were committed in a year in the UK, despite the country being known as “gun free” due to its “strictest gun control laws in the world.” Britain has seen gun crimes rise by “27 per cent in five years and the number of firearms seized has quadrupled.” Gun smuggling combined with the fallout from a suicidal immigration policy are to blame. Thanks to Prime Ministers David Cameron (a total failure on immigration) and Theresa May, another failure, from her days as Home Secretary, during which Middle Eastern and African gangs and jihadists proliferated across Britain, as well as Islamic hate preachers. A middle-eastern gun runner told the news outlet that it is “easy” to bring guns to Britain and that he can sell the weapons for over £2,000, four times as much as he purchases them for in Europe. The smuggler said that he travels to France and picks up the guns from migrant camps in Calais before shipping them back to the UK. The “Calais jungle,” as it is known, has turned into a war zone. Even years ago, “armed migrants” were “setting up 30 road blocks each night to attack British-bound vehicles travelling through Calais.” https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/02/...imes-in-a-year-with-help-from-muslim-migrants
Every kind of firearm will always be easy for criminals to obtain regardless of any absurd "gun ban" or gun control law. The arguments for gun control are irrational.
Oh right...the reason we went to Vietnam was to just kill off a bunch of American's. Yup...makes sense...
No, it was based on your rather incorrect comment that our government has never killed off a lot of Americans, get it not?
Of course it is to you, as it doesn't fit your GCA narrative. None the less it is reality and proves you to be quite incorrect.
Incorrigible criminals inevitably scoff at the law, but sensible legislation to reduce the level of firearm carnage in the US has the democratic will behind it. The American people will prevail over special-interest political lobbyists and the politicians who are in their pocket. Neither the extremist zealots who demand unbridled permissiveness, nor those that insist on prohibition, will prevail. Common sense will.
Demonstrate precisely what so-called "sensible legislation" is being referred to. As it stands it is nothing more than a vague, general, undefined term meant to convey an idea, without explaining how that idea will actually be carried out. Thus meaning as it is, it is worthless.
