The amount that cannot be accounted for in the Pentagon is approximately equal to the national debt. Oops!!!
The defense budget is just 16% of the total budget. But leftists always have their knickers in a twist over the money we spend on defense.
Thank you for establishing that what I posted was correct since you cannot refute a single word of any of it.
You can't identify who these economists are, what they in fact believe, what we actually have for monetary policy, or why the central bank adopted the policies it did. Who would you have execute monetary policy? The politicians set the table with their spending, taxing, and regulatory policies. Central bankers respond with policies consistent with government mandates (full employment, low inflation...) and responding to the liquidity needs of the banking system. You can be sure most economists would prefer increased spending, public and private, on R&D, productivity improving infrastructure, and worker training. Upgrading public education in lower-income communities would be a priority. Implementing MMT policies won't be as easy as you seem to think. Running government spending up and down, or tax collection up and down, will meet all kinds of resistance.
The economists running the treasury and the Fed are all economists with credentials based on the 'classical school' - including even the neo-Keynesians who have nothing to do with Keynes. https://www.forbes.com/sites/johntharvey/2019/03/05/mmt-sense-or-nonsense/#2eef666d5852 "John Maynard Keynes wrote in the preface to the General Theory (incidentally, “Keynes” and “Keynesian” are not the same thing...long story!):....says professor Harvey.... …(a wonderful quote worth reading). Still the Fed, but under the auspices of the democratically elected government, in combination with fiscal policy that reflects the productive capacity and real resources available to the nation, not constrained by debt and deficit mythology. But of course these economists all believe that sovereign currency issuing governments are constrained in the same way that households are, ie, by money; hence austerity. (Professor Stephanie Kelton's upcoming book "The Deficit Myth" will be released in June). Piece of cake. I could design a staged introduction myself. 1. offer all un/under-employed 15-19 year-old's 38 hr/week above poverty local employment (with local councils determining employment based on local needs which the private sector is not fulfilling), funded by direct Treasury and Fed deposit creation into a JG account (just as private banks create deposits when credit worthy customers apply for a loan). 2. Observe the results, ie collect the data, looking out for the effects of increase demand - likely to be overwhelmingly postive, as the prison, corrections, poverty and ill-health industries are decimated. 3. Continue in like manner until real full employment is reached ie all hands on deck, productively contributing to the nation's well-being.
After the baby boomer generation is gone....perhaps. A lot of us war babies had parents instill in us American History and our mission of liberty. Sadly, many of my generation bought the lie. They were entitled to what everyone else have earned. I saw the mentality in some growing up. Now that entitlement mentality seems to rule in this generation. I know there are a lot of fine young ones in the flyover states but I fear they are losing ground. It will be up to them.
We have more than 30 years to look at, listen to, and learn. Socialism is a centralized power grab anywhere it is performed at the expense of individual liberty! Precisely why they want our guns!
Every candidate out there from the most conservative to the most liberal, promotes a socialist agenda geared to the voters. geesus, Trump bragged about protecting Medicare and SS and expanding cheap healthcare to everyone. He even promotes a solution to protect his social group with the Arian race agenda. That’s appeasement to a group. The gop is engaged in huge corporate welfare with tax. Cuts for a particular group greater then any General fund give away to any group ever....the rich, the social group he claims to belong to. Its too hysterical. Steven Miller his chief advisor is a devoted advocate of one particular social group.....and it shows.
Exactly what Trump is practicing now, a central power grab. Only his is for one man, himself.....with his eye towards other dictators standing in the wing.
If you don't care that your own posts lack credibility then that is entirely your own choice. Have a nice day!
He supports his father who is a autocrat wannabe, and both are Putin assets. There is little the crime family Trump doesn’t crave that isn’t dictatorial.
