It would seem that Buttigieg's team has found "irregularities" in the Nevada counts, with the wrong candidate being deemed the winner in the early-vote tabulations. Buttigieg is in danger of falling below the 15% threshold to win any delegates. https://apps.npr.org/liveblogs/20200222-nevada/share/buttigieg-campaign-letter-117.html
That's it, Mayor Pete! You INSIST on the DNC counting every last hanging chad! Show us on the right how it's done.
Isn't Bernie blowing all the other candidates out of the water with campaign donations? I believe he has accumulated the largest war chest. Instead of taking money from rich people, the Millionaire Socialist taking dollars from the poor....so I guess that's okay.
Trump is bankrupting this county, Trump is for Corporatism (socialism for the rich), Bernie is for the Socialism for the working class people Trump has the highest debt of any President ever and it's growing fast with his tax cuts for the mega corps only ones ignorant is the ones that ignore the harm that Bush and Trump have done to this country may be too late for Bernie to save it, but we have to try
lol, that is called a grassroots movement... one where the people are fighting to take back control of our government from the rich - republicans don't like that Bernie is not for sale to the highest bidder - and yes... that is ok with us... Bernie works for the working class people and I love that republicans and establishment democrats don't like Bernie, that means he is on the right course
Trump doesn't stand a chance against Bernie, in fact many that voted for Trump woudl switch to Bernie
I am sure Bernie won more than they are showing, but he won so big they can't hide it, Bernie haters gonna hate Bernie will be our next President
So he'll steal from the rich after he wins, but in the meantime poor peoples' money is all he'll touch. Then he's giving poor peoples' money to the trillion dollar media industry. So you're voting for a guy who will take back control of our government from the rich by having government leaders forcibly control all the wealth in the country. That is transferring wealth from private hands to public hands and giving total power to the only people who can legally steal your money. Why didn't anyone in world history ever think of that brilliant idea before? What a "rich" irony.
Perhaps the 12% of Bernie Bros who voted for Trump in 2016 will switch back to their Socialist Sugar Daddy. I'll be voting for Bernie in the primary, but not the general.
Well, not all of it. Bernie's wife's company is the media buyer for the campaign. https://www.google.com/amp/s/vtdigg...ers-campaign-millions-go-to-mystery-firm/amp/ Special report: Sanders campaign millions go to mystery firm
On the flip side, the fact that Bernie won the popular vote means that he is the first candidate in US history - Democrat or Republican - to win the popular vote in all three early voting States (where the race was competitive...technically Al Gore did the same, but his only opponent in that cycle was the New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley). https://www.newsweek.com/bernie-san...an-win-popular-vote-all-3-three-early-1488638
Not keeping up with the popular vote for Biden is doubly bad for him. Had he managed to do that, he could have claimed a partial victory considering his image of not being able to do well outside of the white demographic. Neither he nor Kobuchar had any real bounce in national polls after Iowa / NH. It is hard to see a way forward for either outside of holding out for a brokered convention.
Their performance, and the subsequent lack of a national or local bump in either of the subsequent races (assuming the trend line holds), provides further support for the notion that New Hampshire and Iowa should no longer be the first two States. Their populations are simply not representative of the country at large - at least not for the type of coalition needed to win the Democratic nomination.
In an ideal world, what would you replace them with? Personally if I were running the DNC / RNC, I would prefer to have swing states up first as they are going to be the ones that have the highest impact on the overall winner. Since there are a few and which states are considered swing may change over enough cycles, perhaps a rotation to keep things a bit fairer.
I don't think you even need to go that far from Iowa...Illinois would be a good place. The notion of letting swing states start and effectively end the presidential election cycle is an interesting one as well. You could make it into a reality show type event where the DNC or RNC (is there a reason that they must have the same first State?) could use the previous election and have a drawing of the States with some of the closest margins in the previous election. Perhaps something like the NBA draft order show where the State with the closest margin has the best chance (i.e. more of their balls in the random ball gatherer), but any of the top 5 States could still be the first State to go.
Did the neocons and tea party change their names in order to try and hide from the horrible history of southern racism?
While reading through your posts about what you are saying about the Dems and wondering if you are aware that is exactly the same thing that happened to the GOP with the extremist right? They took over the GOP by using primaries to evict the Republican moderates and replace them with the extremists now holding office. Condemning the Dems for doing the exact same thing that the GOP did is disingenuous. And FTR the extremist rightwing not only controls the GOP but they managed to rig the EC in order to dump their criminal IMPOTUS in the Oval office. It is the REACTION to the usurping of the GOP that caused the Progressives to rise up and take over the DP. In summary you had your revolution and made everything much worse for hardworking Americans and now it is the turn of the Progressives to have their revolution and REPAIR all of the damage that your side has done to We the People. What goes around...
