I can't find a calculator to do the math for that percentage of population infected. I did it on paper and I think I'm close....27% of Americans have this virus already.

Nobody is taking this lightly, we're just not panicking like every single anti-Trumper in North America seems to be doing. 60 total cases of infected in the US since the virus broke out. Do you understand how large that number would be if the CV was a major deal? There are over 320 million people here. This spread is less than the flu, a cold, and everything else similar to it. Let's say the death rate is a quarter that. That's still 1 death for every 200 people. Which brings is to the next stat, from the same report:

That's a measure of how infectious this is. That's just about "common cold" level.

So, a lot of people are going to get this, and it's going to kill old people, sick people, and people who get secondary infections, but don't have access to medical care (poor people).

 

I really think for some lefties (not all let me be clear) they think this is their last magical arrow to take out Trump since everything else has failed. and they know they will lose in November. They want it to become bad and panic to spread to hurt America and in their mind thus hurt Trump. The ends justify the means to them.

 

And yet entire cities were quarantined in an effort to suppress it. Why would they do that if the threat were no worse than common flu? Think.

Fact the stock market is indeed dropping due to perception of the virus and the dems on stage politicized a virus as a political attack and increases panic.
He said it could spread but might not as bad due to the great people of the CDC. You don't have a clue if it will or will not nor how much.
The vaccine indeed should be complete in a few months then it goes to the testing phase which takes months, again your talking heads know how close it is.

Yes. It's very small and contained. Now. That's great. Except more and more cases are popping up everywhere. Plus I just read that a lady who was infected, and thought cured, is now infected again (or it didn't entirely go away).

I'm not saying that everyone should be running around with hair on fire, locking themselves up in their houses, but the blase attitude by Trump and his admin, coupled with the loss of the very groups that were designed to deal with something like this, is concerning at minimum.

Trump specifically said it may spread, it may not spread. It could be minimal, it could be large. But whatever it may be, he and Congress are working together to make sure they take the right steps in controlling it. What the hell else do you want him to say? He covered every single base y'all could attack him on which left y'all with one choice, to ignore what he said and cherry pick that parts y'all want to attack him on. Makes y'all look desperate and weak.

 

That didn't stop Trumpers saying that North Korea should be flattened. Why are you so obsessed with Hawaii when Trumpers were saying that Kim carried out a war crime by sending a ballistic missile close to Guam (it wasn't even close)

 

Think about all the things he has lied about, blamed on others, or in his opinion he was never wrong. At first he says "yes", then "ya", then maybe, 'Then we will see" then, "thats up to me" then "I will think about it" then, "I might not" Then, I doubt it, then probably not, then NO, I wont give it to them. China population 1.3 billion
USA Population 330 million

Using the infection rate in China which has 4 times the population of the US, we get the infected number of 20,000 domestically in the US. That is 1/4 of the number infected in China in other words.

Using you 1 in 200 who are infected will die math..... 100 Deaths in the US.

or not using the quarter rate you posted but going with the actual death rate of roughly 3%

20,000 Infected in the US, 600 Dead.

Lets say it 10 times worse here than in China....

200,000 infected / 6,000 dead

20 times worse

400,000 infected / 12,000 dead

Average death in America in 7,000 per day from all cause.

So at 20 times worse we are still looking as less deaths than we have in any given two days here.

And it's not going to be 20 times worse, nor 10 times worse....

People are over reacting, causing fear and that will do far more damage than this virus.
