He warned about the government (with an agenda) take over of science.

Trump is arguing economics. The Paris accords will cost $100T and will delay the current warming by 4 years per century.

Satellite measurements are as reliable as the laser readings that engineers use to detect temp variations in walls. Range is limitless locally. The verification is the actual ground readings. They ALWAYS agree when local conditions are accounted for.

Maybe a trip to NASA might be in order.

Satellite measurements show very little warming.

Proof. He said no such thing. Prove it. Trump said it was a Chinese hoax. Even if he wanted to talk economics, He is still too stupid to get that doing nothing is more expensive then doing something.

He didn't have to, the example of politicized science in the USSR showed what happened when Leftists get control of a science and pervert it to political ends. Sorta like what's happened to climate science.

Speaking of stupid, that word came to mind after reading your post.

When CO2's concentration doubles in the atmosphere, after 300 years of accumulation, the most it can warm the planet (just the CO2) is 1 degree C. Climate "science" still can't predict how the feedbacks will go, but such a tiny increase won't result in an existential crisis as Greta and the Leftists have claimed. Spending trillions out of fear is not better than spending money as needed when we actually know something.

I guess all is doomed. No aaas sanctioned science organization in the world agrees with you. It’s like listening to a gnat complain about astrophysics, listening to deniers discuss AGW.
    Where is you reference ?

STUDY: Satellites show no acceleration in global warming for 23 years
    November 30th, 2017
University of Alabama-Huntsville climate scientists John Christy and Richard McNider found that by removing the climate effects of volcanic eruptions early on in the satellite temperature record showed virtually no change in the rate of warming since the early 1990s.

“We indicated 23 years ago — in our 1994 Nature article — that climate models had the atmosphere’s sensitivity to CO2 much too high,” Christy said in a statement. “This recent paper bolsters that conclusion.”

Christy and McNider found the rate of warming has been 0.096 degrees Celsius per decade after “the removal of volcanic cooling in the early part of the record,” which “is essentially the same value we determined in 1994 … using only 15 years of data.”
    Welcome back to Earth.

You're the one who made the spurious claim. It is incumbent upon you to back up your words, but your failure to do so is indicative of your character more than anything else.

So you must be referring to the following line from his speech:
Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

That line is more indicative of the relationship of tech giants like Google and Facebook with how they have taken a central role in influencing government. In other words, any industry that is for profit in which the government is a consumer must be wary of the influence and motivations of that industry.

    No it doesn't.
You read the woo-woo, not the data.

The Chinese hoax is that China is doing anything to reduce their CO2 emissions. They develop and sell technologies to the west which weakens western economies and benefit
    from the trade.

Not after they have been "adjusted," they aren't.
Actual ground readings which are consistently falsified...
I.e., when falsified to agree with AGW theory.
    Oh, I don't think so.

Spencer in his book “The Great Global Warming Blunder” details out an interaction of the PDO linked to cloud cover. CO2 is not a factor.

    especially when they are fraudulent.
You can pick out any smaller interval over a shorter length to make a point that’s erroneous. Since the industrial revolution began, it’s apparent. Look at the 23 year period in question, it’s apparently at the end of a long and very steep growth period. It certainly is an indication that you’re confusing weather with climate. You’re little reference is fake news. Nothing you say now is trustworthy.
