It isn't the bird flu, although money movers are timid buggers who bottle out over most everything. So under normal circumstances the markets should bounce back in a month or so. However... What has struck me is that it is twelve years since the last decent recession and this might be the start of the next one. So do I buy a few shares or keep the money under the bed where it belongs? I am torn between my natural caution and hog like greed.
I probably will although I doubt that the budget will contain many surprises. An increase in the tax threshold which we already know about, a few pence on **** because smokers are used to being kicked and something for animal charities because Carrie Symonds is an animal lover and Boris does not want to end up sleeping on the sofa.

It is a thought. BP's share price has fallen by a third in the last month so looks to be a bargain. It might be woth a punt. Keep thinking Scotsman
