Why doesn't socialism work?

Dismissing arguments without counter-arguments does not magickally make them go away.

Just because they have the problems you cite, doesn't mean we'd be stuck with the same problems. If we study their system before installing our own, we can plan a way to circumvent their problems.

 

Then explain why when Bernie or Warren, or anyone else, suggests copying some of the most successful programs in Europe for use here, we get barraged by accusations of being "socialist," or trying to impose "socialism" onto the U.S.? If these programs aren't "socialist" in Europe, why are they "socialist" here?

After all we are the richest country in the world with the fewest regulations so people should be able to climb a lot faster than all these other modern countries that don't have our natural resources. So their economies are more fragile.but they do invest in education and training so they get more of the good jobs produced by the new markets that globalism has given us.

If it doesn't collectivize production, it isn't socialist. Period.
