Billions of $ wiped out, our shares and currency are worth jack s..t !!!! Whether it is fires or now the virus, we never ever had a more incompetent leadership.

The Libs under Scomo can't be trusted, he showed his lack of leadership when these terrible bush fires occurred (had to have a family holiday on Hawaii). Not to mention that all these fires are not related to climate change or the burning of fossil fuels (coal e.g.).

Now we have a new situation, with other leaders showing the way (New Zealand e.g.). It appears that Scomo is waiting and hoping the problems go away. That is not a leader.

What is your take of the current situation? Do you think he is doing a good job?
    Reg.

As far as I'm concerned we are lucky to have the Libs in Government, they have dealt with the Coronavirus extremely well.

Scott Morrisson is doing an excellent job

    YES, 100% support Scott Morrison

    What ?????????????????????????????

He is sitting on his fat bum, only reacting when forced to. Watching other countries how they react, before showing any kind of response. Leadership is something very different.

Nonsense, if that were the case we'd have infection and death rates closer to Italy right now. He is working extremely hard, I've watched several videos where Scott Morrison have given briefings on the Covid19 situation and he is thoroughly on top of it as much as you possibly can with such a fluid, fast moving and unprecedented situation.

Certainly I would not want Turnbull or Albanese handling this situation because they'd still be screaming climate change when there are far more serious issues to address.

Forget about Turnbull and Albanese...they are not in power...nor is that moron masquerading as the Shadow Health Minister (Bowen) who demands this and demands that.....
Scumo is formulating policy on the run...he said himself.. quote..."something happens and we react"
How is that being proactive...he is being reactive....he took weeks to stop flights from China, then weeks
later he stopped flights from Iran, and then last week did nothing in attempting to allow the F1 GP to occur, and then at the last minute imposes a ban on travel from Italy, when he knows all the fans etc from
all over the world have arrived in Melbourne....then the GP is cancelled in a shambolic disgrace...
No one in the media has commented about Scumo permitting 180,000 Chinese uni students
being flown back into the country to start their studies...all of them aided by university grants
of up to $8500 from various Australian universities because we are SO dependent on the money
they bring into the country...and what happens...uni students get diagnosed with the virus....
The media have left this alone because for them to comment it would be seen to be politically incorrect....
    (Substitute the word "racist" here...)
Scumos response to the Covid 19 virus has been ragged and haphazard....
..waiting for something to happen...then reacting....
Schools are closing all over Australia because individual schools are making their own
    decisions...not waiting for Scumo….
Maybe when it all gets a bit too hard for Scumo, he could take a holiday in Hawaii...
As a leader, Scumo is not worth a penneth of piss......

I can't believe you are suggesting they are reacting without a plan.... how many times have they said they are following a plan, when something happens they work according to the health emergency plan in place.

This is so typical... pretending they are just running around cluelessly, that's absurd! This only reflects badly on you.

They've also made it very clear they are planning on flattening the curve of the virus so the health system can cope. It cannot be stopped. This is the goal, maybe the two of you should just start familiarising yourself with the facts.

Just baseless bile clearly you don't know all the facts vvvv

If Scumo is doing such a great job...why then is it necessary for Dr Greg Kelly to organize
a petition which has been signed by thousands of people seeking action in various areas....
“On current growth rates the 370 cases in Australia today will be 750 on Friday, 1500 on Tuesday next week, 3000 next Saturday, 6000 on the 1st of April and 12,000 by the 4th of April,” the open letter read before total numbers climbed to 452 on Tuesday.

“This is less than three weeks from now and puts us in a worse position than Italy is currently in.”

The letter explained that even if strict social distancing was implemented immediately, it would take two weeks before it had an effect on the number of cases of coronavirus, as seen in China and Italy.

The petition, which has gained thousands of signatures since being established on Monday, called on Mr Morrison to enforce two major measures to keep coronavirus case numbers from skyrocketing.
Scumo may have introduced social distancing last night, but his actions have been too slow.
Various talking heads have been making the same observations...Im not the only one....
BTW I dont have any political leanings....I criticise all politicians from all parties....

Because Dr. Greg Kelly is a narcissistic ******* who thinks he knows better than all the health officials put together who are currently advising the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. he is also making full use of toilet paper style hysteria to push his agenda.

Dr Greg Kelly is not an economist and this problem is not just a health crisis.. it is an economic crisis that needs to be managed alongside the pandemic

I suppose these people are also narcissistic....
Doctors pen letter urging 'immediate action'
    Gavin Fernando
A team of six top medical professionals in the Northern Territory have written a letter requesting "immediate action" on the coronavirus before it’s too late.
The letter has been signed by the Royal Darwin Hospital acting director of anaesthesia Andrew Fenton, director of emergency medicine Didier Palmer, women, children and youth medical co-director Kathryn Roberts, surgery and critical care medical co-director Mahiban Thomas, ICU director Paul Goldrick and medicine medical co-director Nadarajah Kangaran.
"Critical care teams across the globe are reeling from the overwhelming number of patients now requiring ICU and ventilation," it says.
"There is a strong sense of regret that these health systems (Italy/Washington State/Holland among others) did not make fast and better decisions. Australia is only a few weeks behind this development. The NT population is doubly vulnerable, and it's critical care resources more finite, than any other Australian jurisdiction."

It goes on to recommend 13 items that need "immediate action" and another three that need action in two weeks.

I think we only have slightly over 2000 ICU beds in the whole of Australia, and none of them empty. You blame Scott Morrison for this? Who could have foreseen Coronavirus... and what government would have funded 50 000 empty ICU beds....for how long? They are aware of this problem thus the attempt to flatten the curve. Suggesting they are doing nothing is not only uninformed but irresponsible, considering the level of crises we are dealing with currently.

Here's why they are not closing schools, we are following the recommendations for the blue curve, similar to countries like Singapore and Thailand who have managed to curb the virus more successfully

Our elderly and folk with preexisting health concerns should be isolated. Other than that the rest of us should be fine
For most of us, we didn’t know how infectious this virus was going to be but you’d expect that our leaders with resources and intelligence at their disposal would have foreseen how bad it potentially was going to get. The slow response to shutting out non-citizens is mind boggling. Once that first case was confirmed it was a no brainer to shut the country down. The disease didn’t start here so it only makes sense that it is going to arrive externally.
Morrison’s lack of appropriate action at appropriate times is questionable. Citizens needed to feel confident for the most part we could continue on with supporting our local economy without threat. Now the cases have increased, nobody wants out of their houses for longer than is necessary all because the clown didn’t shut down international travel of non citizens sooner.

    tv,
foresight is not a credential of the Liberal party as such.
Wasn't under Howard, wasn't under Abbott, isn't under Scomo.
It can only get better, comes next election people have a choice.
I wish all members of pm a virusfree future,

A vaccination would have been nice but apparently unlikely until next year. Event may be done and dusted by then.

The video is about a cure for Covid19, clinical trials on patients that were successfully cured.
They are now rolling out clinical trials in 50 Australian hospitals...

    They have a cure.

They spoke about this cure earlier in the week suggesting UQ found a cure. Apparently China were using same drugs back in Feb. By the time this is in full cycle the virus may have wreaked a little bit of havoc here in Oz. Apparently 3 months before it can be prescribed by doctors etc.

Victoria has announced that they will bring forward school holidays to start next week and are
    unsure when schools will re-open....
    Well.....f me......I suggested that two weeks ago....but what would I know...….
State grubberments are making their own decisions now, and not waiting for Gomers direction....
    Even closing down their borders......
Seriously..what does that tell you about their trust in Gomer.....
    Its registering at ZERO...…….
