Though all that would suggest is that there is a god who creates deadly infectious diseases and only gets rid of them if enough people beg him to. I find the idea of a god who answers some prayers much more disturbing that one who ignores them all.
Many already are including COVID-19 into their prayers. Religion cannot be proven or disproven. Attempting to do so results in numerous logical fallacies, including the circular argument fallacy and the argument from ignorance fallacy. In your case, your attempt to disprove god has led you into committing the false dichotomy fallacy (see below). False Dichotomy Fallacy. Those are not the only two options. Christians believe that God can "see the end from the beginning". In other words, God has a complete perspective on events, such as this COVID-19 outbreak, while humans only have a limited perspective on such events. Humans can't "see the end from the beginning". They instead place their trust in God's infinite wisdom. Christians also believe that all people are sinners (have behaved in an immoral manner at least once during their lives), and that the wages of this sin is death. We all have earned death for our immorality, and we all are going to die at some point. Ultimately, God is in control. This is why the true "Bride of Christ" (aka "the Church") has a deep sense of calmness amidst the current storm that is COVID-19. Not saying that they never worry, but they know in their hearts that they are merely "passing through" this world, that life in this world is not the "end all be all", but is only a small fraction of eternity. That wisdom is what keeps a Christian calm and collected during events such as these, instead of scrambling to the stores to hoard hundreds of rolls of toilet paper.

God exists and he does care. God exists and knows that this current COVID-19 outbreak will bring about positive results currently unknown to us. Etc. Etc.
If you have faith go outside and command a tree to uproot itself and to jump into the nearest body of water. If it does as you command be sure to get some good video of it because you will be the first person in all of history who has actually believed in God.
What make you think you are so special that God should stop everything he is doing to powder our asses when he is busy saving a whole galaxy of populated planets from emminent disaster! Dont you think that takes priority over a little diaper rash?.
